Question about Samsung LN-T4665F 46 in. LCD Television

3 Answers

Samsung LN-T-4665F will not turn on. Red button flashes and TV just makes clicking sound. I've unplugged both the TV outlet plug and the power cord. Great picture when it worked however I've only had for 18 months and would not expect it to be having this problem.

40" Samsung LN40B610 1080p LCD HDTV suddenly turned off; will not turn back on (NO red light or clicking sound)

Here is a place that I buy parts from: It is pretty inexpensive. Note though that with a big screen television, the service people come to your home and then you get charged for a service trip fee. So if you want to save money on this, take the set to them! You should know that those sets have to be transported verticle or the screen will break. http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=LN40B610+

Samsung LNT-4665F won't power up properly

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

4665 samsung has sound but no picture

Try a hard restart, which simply means unplugging the power cord of the TV, and replugging it after 4 hours have passed. This technique reprograms the electronics, to a certain extent.

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

I had the same thing - one long red flash followed by four short red flashes. Plugging and unplugging the power cord had no affect until I also unplugged all the cabled connections to the VCR and DVD player as well. Also, per the manufacturer's instructions, I unplugged the power cord from the surge protector and plugged it into the main wall outlet (which I tried first, but did not finally have success until I cycled the power cord unplugging process with all the cabled connections to the auxilliary devices unplugged as well).
