What is the Phone model,it belongs to which brand? It locked to which Country Orange Network? You can get the Network Unlock code from here Onlinegsmunlock and Unlock it from Network Lock.Follow the instructions and Unlock it step by step.
Orange are messing you about, they can supply the unlock code. In fact, if you have completed a contract they should really supply it for free (although they are not bound by law to do so). Get back in touch with Orange and tell them you want the unlock code, although they could charge you up to £30. If you have no luck with Orange, try the link below.
I think this may be a temporary glitch with your network rather than the phone itself... Check your sent items folder on the phone and make sure its only in there once. I know quite a few people that have had the same thing and its been a problem at the network end not the phone itself, if it doesnt resolve itself, try calling Orange :)
On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
Try erasing any photos you ahve stored in your phone to make room for the new ones, delete all your old texts too so that your inbox is not full. If that doesn't work, take the battery out of your phone with the power on, then turn it back on again and see if that works. I've had similar problems. If stil no luck, call your phone company they can troubleshoot it more with you as it probably has something to do with the network.
