I would suggest replacing the overload/relay , which is pluged onto the side of the compressor . You will need your complete model number to get the correct replacement . This part is easily replaceable , with only 2 or 3 wires pluged onto it .

It's either in defrost mode and the timer is stuck, or the relay or fuse is shot on the main board. might also be the thermostat. find the timer (usually under the fridge near the front). there will be a dial on it- turn it to see if the compressor comes on. if it does not, check the main board (also underneath, but towards the back).

The strip between the two doors of my whirlpool refrigerator model ed5ntgxlt00 hot to touch the fridge side runs at 60 degrees the freezer side runs at about 33 degrees plus the compressor is hot to touch

That is a very bad sign, but before you unplug it pull the machine out from the wall and check to see if it feels hot back there as well. Then remove the lower cover and find the condersor fan motor. Its the only fan back there. I'd willing to bet that the fan is not running. The purpose of the the fan is draw air across the compressor and blow it through the condensor therefore lowering the temperature on both parts. When its not working/ running, the heat from the compressor and the condensor is pass onward to the machine and the machine then acts as a heat sink.

if you laid it on it's side you could have damaged the sealed system.the machine has to be standing upright just like when it's in your kitchen or the compressor can get damaged,if you stood it back up and didn't run it for a few days the oil might go back down into the compressor but if it was moved on it's side and started most likely you damaged the compressor,or a wire or something got knocked off while moving it if it was moved correctly.is the compressor running?

Frig not cold

It is possible that the gas has run off but we need to confirm. Sicne your fridge is working after being shut the compressor must cool without us thinking of any parts that can create the cooling fault. Since you mentioned the motor noise was more, it is possible that the compressor is not working well. There is not much we can think of unless the compressor is checked and the pressure of the gas within the system. I hope you will do accordingly. Good day

My Whirlpool side by side fridge and freezer not working

Most likely, if you can hear the compressor running, the fan inside the freezer is not working. When the compressor is running, open the freezer and listen for the fan running. If you don't hear it, locate it and, with a voltmeter, test for voltage across the terminals. If you have voltage present, replace the fan. You can buy replacement fans at a local appliance parts store, internet parts suppliers, even ebay.

Check the condenser coil to make sure it is free of any dust, which will cause the compressor to overheat. The fan underneath may still be running, but until the compressor cools down it will not start.
If the unit always immediately begins running when you turn the control off and back on, then it may be you have a bad control. Have a servixe tech look at it, as you cannot repair the control...it's a throw away device.

Whirlpool ultraease warm on left side, dispenses warm water

not dangerous, i would recommend vacuuming coils under and behind refrig, make sure the fan behind the unit( cooling for compressor) is running full speed. the water is probably "warmer" then usual because the waterline runs across the bottom of the refrig, which appears to be overheating as it is. this should rectify your issue

Freezer / Refrigerator not cooling

When the fans are running the compressor should also be running. If the compressor is hot but not running you have a compressor problem. If the compressor is running check for frost on back wall of the freezer compartment which would indicate a defrost system problem. At five years old have you cleaned the condenser where the heat is transferred to the outside air in the room?
