Your issue is either the need for a newer driver for the soundcard, or the soundcard is no longer working properly and needs replacement. The following link will direct you to the Dell Drivers page where you can install the Driver Detection tool to identify your hardware and install the appropriate drivers. It sounds like the audio drivers maybe corrupt.
Go here to dell support, select you audio and download and install it. I have already chose your model for you.
