Re: printing fault

What usually causes that problem is a bad roller in the developer housing. It builds up ink and will not set up correctly.
The second problem in that area is a bad toner dispenser.
I mostly suspect the developer housing donor roll is bad.

Cant get copier to copy anything. i've done 2 nozzle checks and 4 deep cleans & all tanks have ink in them.5100 comes up on screen????????????????????

how about printing? is it also doing it on printing? if it is only on the copier's end, you may need to send it to cannon for servicing unfortunately. You have done everything you can, some mechanical problem may be causing it.

Try to print--scanner failure appears

I think your printer has been, for some time now, trying to tell you something and the scanner failure message
is the last in a series of messages.

First, the copier and the printer and the scanner worked fine, "for years",
Then, the copier stopped accepting scans, while printing from data sent by your computer.
Then, you received a scanner failure message again, and will not accept data from your computer, and
"won't print at all"

Your printer/scanner/copier/fax has needed service for some time after years of continuous service.

Evaluate now, based on its initial cost and the lesser cost of All In Ones whether you have already
obtained sufficient service to amortize the cost over time, and you may conclude that service is eitherr
cost effective or ineffective at this time.

Hammer voltage 2

A high resistance coil fault has likely occurred in one or more of the hammer coils. Note: this fault message will have been preceded by printing slow-down attempts associated with On-The-Fly thermal monitoring of hammer bank temperature.

Check the hammer bank for defective coils.

Canon 3300i prints / process very slow

These machines can print slowly for a varity of reasons. First and foremost is using the incorrect driver. The correct driver can be downloaded here:

Also slow printing can be a symtom of a hard drive about to fail (e602 codes).
Fastest printing speeds can be achieved using the following basic assumptions:
1) The copier is printing thru a standard cat5 cable; not thru the parallel port.
2) The network the copier is on is healthy and operating normally.
3) The network settings on the copier are configured correctly.

I am a Canon trained authorized tech on these machines and have been working in the field on the ImageRunner 3300 series since their release. I'm not sure if a ram upgrade is available but I haven't installed one in the six plus years of servicing this machine to fix a slow print problem.

Black toner problem.Probably You have low toner sensor defect.
But try first to vacuum and clean black toner dispenser. You must vacuum whole path wich is used to transport black toner to developer unit. Then if printing B/W print only, you must print 10 full color sheets every 100 copies.
