Right clcik on the sound symbol see if it opens up if it does check the mute button box and then close it and see if you have sound. If still no sound go to windows update site and update the drivers and windows media player, they are constantly updating the drivers for sound and this can cause your system to not have the new codecs to run. good luck.

I installed Audio driver soundmax for my laptop IBM R52 but it is not working also not any voice

Is there red cross on windows sound button? If yes, most likely driver is wrong. You can revert back to old driver by opening device manager -> sound controller -> double click on audio device -> select driver and rollback driver.

If windows sound button is active, open it and make sure that volume is turned on and some speakers are connected. Also check "sound" under control panel to see that devices are enabled

No Audio Device

Check your BIOS settings. I had the same problem with a 8440P. It has been a real Odyssee to find the solution, but I turned out the integrated audio device was disabled in the BIOS.

Sound problem

in windows, go to device manager and see if any red cross or exclamation mark symbols are displayed next to an audio-related asset. if so, right click on the device and choose 're-install driver' from the dropdown menu. if your XP pro is well up-to-date, the device driver should be installed automatically after clicking 'next' a few times.
if there is no problem there, it is advised to go to the control panel and checking all the settings for audio devices, to see if none of the channels have been muted or even disabled.

"No Audio Output Device is installed"

I checked their website. Did you download the sound driver RAM2080 Win Vista x 86 15.02.2007 version 6.10.5337.0?

If so and it did not work it looks like you'll have to update the BIOS (BIOS update RAM2080 _only_ for MS Windows Vista 14.05.2007 version F0A. However BE VERY CAREFUL and follow the instructions EXACTLY, otherwise you may make the computer unbootable.
