Check that the VGA cable is correctly seated in both the monitor end of the cable and the pc end. it would probably be best to disconnect the cable and then reconnect. Also check for any damage along the length of the cable.

Monitor switch always return to Sleeo Mode

You can open the VGA cable and connect it again, sometimes there are two or three vga ports behind your cpu, connect the right one. Try it, if not success, change the cable.

I unplugged my sound bar to move the monitor and now i don't know where to plug it back in

You didn't say whether the plug came out of the monitor or the PC!

If the monitor, look under the back side of the stand, and see if you can find a jack.

If the PC, look at the back of the computer, and locate a similarly colored jack, usually low down on a tower case, and plug it into the same colored jack.

Cheers!

Hi
This is very usual if this TV is connected to through RCA(Red,While,Yellow) cables, as most of us make mistakes to have cables into the corresponding jacks. For more help Call Hannspree Support at 888-823-4296(USA).

Game is working, but no color..screen is black and white

If this is a game which feeds a television monitor, the first thing to check is the cables between the game and the television or monitor. Likely there is a mismatch of cabling. The jacks from the game are not the same type of jacks at the monitor. If the game feeds composite video down one cable and it is plugged into the jack which accepts component video, the cables for the color are Pb and Pr or similar lettering. The monitor is looking for color information and is not receiving it from the game. Check the cables at each end to make sure there is a match in the outputs of the game to the inputs of the monitor.

No Sound. We moved the computer and now no sound.

Try checking to see to make sure that the audio jacks are plugged into the right ports. Also, check to make sure that nothing is muted, and that volume is up ( I've actually went for sound without a day after moving my computer because I forgot I had muted and turned my volume all the way down the day before xD )

Anyway, I hope this helps, and let me know if it doesn't.

Oh, and one last thing, make sure that your speakers are set as the primary output devices. If you have 3rd party audio drivers, sometimes you have to set what audio output is going through.

Speakers don't work!

Sometimes, the colors on the jacks should be reversed. Try doing that - reverse which colors the jacks go into on the back of the PC and see if you get sound that way. Turn the volume down, just in case,

Lost manual for hp compact.

The speakers wires are normally color coded if the computer isn't ancient, the Speaker PLUG is green, if you are using the speakers in the monitor, then plug the green one from monitor to green jack on back of PC, (Microphone plug and jack is pink/Red).
If you are using other speakers 3rd party, 4.1,5.1, the hookup is different usually, But I think you need green to green, there should only be one green plug on back of PC, It may be labled sound out. but yours is probably green.
PS you also need to kake sure the monitor speakers dont require their own Power Supply/ AC adapter, Most of them do, while some desktop and monitor speakers do not just connect the cord ffrom monitor to green jack, "sound out". If this helps, thanks for the feedback
