Tiger Woods odd 3DFX mode Voodoo3 problem....

I am using a Voodoo3 video card and have tried the various patches that allow 3DFX mode. However for me the patch allows the ability to select the higher resolutions in 3DFX mode, but when I go to play I get an error stating my computer doesnt support the settings and reverts back to 800x600 (although now 3DFX mode atleast works)(Even D3D mode is now only 800x600) Does anyone have any idea why it wont allow me to go above 800x600? My monitor supports 1280x1024. Sent via # Share what you know. Learn what you don't. 210-0832-004

Can I upgrade the Video card on my Toshiba Satellite laptop

1. Yes, you can upgarde your Video Card by installing a '3D Graphics Accelerator Card' like ATI FireGL V3400, 3dfx Voodoo3 3000, NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800, etc.

2. But first, check the compatibility of your motherboard with that type of Graphics Card!

3. Check this site for the complete range of latest video cards :

tell me if don't! :)

My graphics card- 3dfx voodoo3(with TV OUT) but it can not support my new LCD wide screen monitor(1440*900)?

did you reset the hz before switching to a LCD? CRT monitors could support much higher hz ratings than LCD's

most LCD monitors only support 60hz

3dfx tv card on amd 1000mhz

hi , seems called a d'E/S cable which is proprietary - I would say you would have buckley's hope (little or no hope) of finding one
Boxed "New old stock" items of retail cards incl cable are still pricey at over $100

Cant install voodoo3

It means that the refresh rate is set too high or too low for the monitor, you can adjust this in the system BIOS, or use the onborad graphics, right click on the screen, select properties, go to settings, advanced, and change the refresh rate from there.

Lost AV cable in a move

Radio Shack have all sorts of cables.

E-mail Voodoo3 technical support for a cables

Try a cheap PCI VGA card on your PC , then instal the AV after it; it might not stand alone.

Good luck
