I just used a paperclip that I bent and slid along under each row of keys until my Dell Inspiron 1525 stopped beaping. Try the middle row first (ASDFGH..) as it is most likely the problem row.

I wasn't sure what to do about this one because I couldn't even load the bios setup to boot to a CD. Thanks guys!

Yeah, you have a stuck key. Get a toothpick and a dental tool and poke under them one by one until you find it.

Shut down your inspiron. Press each and every key on your keyboard and check whether its stuck or not. If you find any key which is stuck, just try to release it by pulling it very softly.

Continuous beep

Usually a beep can mean multiple things:
if it is a pattern beep there is most likely bad ram stick(s). If it is ram issues you will not get anything on the screen
If it is a beep and the screen powers on and shows anything like the BOIS text or windows startup you most likely have a key on your keyboard that is stuck so its down. Search for any sticky keys

I have Dell Inspiron 1440 Laptop. I am using it fop almost 2 years. But recently there is a problem when I turn on my laptop. At the start up I hear a continuous beep (beep-beep-beep-beep-.....beep....)...

I would check to make sure that no keys are stuck down, if they are they oveload a buffer in the computer and the beeping will drvie you crazy. Get some compressed air and blow under the keys or you can vacuum them sideways don't do it straight down or you'll **** the keys off :)

Dell 1525. I get a continuous beep on start up. What could be the problem?

A single continuous beep on boot up usually indicates a stuck key on your keyboard.

A constant beep can mean that a key on the keyboard is stuck . test each key , it may loosen up.

Try another monitor first, if that causes the same error message, suspect Graphics card problem, try replacement graphics card. One long beep points also to Ram issues

Bios continous beep, repeated ////, intermittent touchpad issue

The beeping when powering on is from the keyboard buffer being filled up by a stuck key. Same thing in windows. Best bet is to just replace it as it is pretty cheap.

Here is a link for one for $25

Easy to swap out also , here is a step by step
