I turn my C913 on, and it turns right back off again. I put new batteries in it. Two days ago when I tried it, it said, you have changed the date and time, and then it turned off. It is only a couple months old, but I bought it refurbished on buy.com and can't find my receipt.

Pls. use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).

Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery
Remove the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth

Every time i turn my laptop on the time and date keep changing and going back nearly 3 years,i have been told it is the CMOS battery is this right?

Hi,

What you have been told is correct. When the real time clock battery (CMOS) runs out then the date and time will revert back to the day the bios was programed, in your case 3 years ago.

You can set the date and time while you are using Windows but each time you power the laptop down it will loose this information.

A quick workaround is not to power the laptop off but put it to sleep instead until you have got a CMOS battery for the laptop.

Regards.

Camera turns off immediately when I turn it on.

I had this problem as well. After spending an hour with a service representative from Kodak, I was told that in order to fix it, it would cost me $60 + $10.95 shipping + applicable state sales tax. I was frustrated when I realized that I may as well just buy a new camera. I then proceeded to gently poke/prod/slam the camera against my hand, but nothing changed. Then, in a moment of inspiration, I turned it on and gently held the outside of the lens as it turned off. When I tried to turn my camera back on, the problem (whatever it was) was fixed!

I just put new batteries in my kodak easyshare c913 but will not turn on

Make sure you are using rechargable batteries. Normal batteries are not strong enough. Try using either rechargable Lithium Ion batteries, or rechargable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries. These are much stronger and should give you a good battery life.
Let me know if this helps :)

Cannot turn on my Kodak easyshare c713

Hi I had the same problem with my daughters c713. Tried several bateries found out that the camera is specific with its bateries brand. When i put in new ones from kodak itself from my sons camera a c913 the c713 turn on again. Tried a new pack local brand checked them first and voltage was ok but didn´t work again. Back in those from kodak and ok again. Tried philips also ok.
So try different brand and find out. Good luck.

Turns itself off every time I try to take a photo

I had a similar problem with my Cyber-shot S600. It just turned off every time I tried to take a photo. I bought a Sony recharger + batteries and it fixed the problem. Camera works fine and I'm impressed with the how long the batteries last between charges.
