You need to remove drain pump and clear restriction. once done, you should be able to continue to wash again.

Hoshizaki water dont stop runing

float switch is stuck in the "down" position. The unit goes thru a fill cycle and after 1 minute, the board "Looks" at the float swith to "see" if the sump is full. If float is stuck down, it tells the board that the unit does not have enough water and stays in the fill cycle. The compressor will not come on as long as the machine "thinks" there is not enough water. let me know if I can help further

How do you activate the flash defrost function on a Kenmore 16082 model? I can't find any flash defrost button.

Hi

Not all these models were fitted with a flash defrost plunger, if fitted it is inside the lid on the left hand side.
You will need to remove all the product from the freezer and store it elsewhere.
1. Pull out the flash defrost button
2. Put a chock of wood or similar to prevent the lid from closing (if the lid closes it will stop the flash defrost)
3. Wait until all the ice has melted then clean out the casing, some of these models have a drain plug in the base, (put a shallow tray under the outlet to catch the water) others you will need to mop out the water.
4. Push in the flash defrost button and wait for a couple of hours and then you can reload the freezer.

If there is no flash defrost button then follow the above instructions after you have emptied the freezer, all you need to do is switch off and unplug the freezer then go to 2. above. When finished plug back in and reload.

Regards

Gordon

Water coming out of the lid of a Kenmore 5 cu. Freezer

Funny. We just spent an hour trying to figure out the same problem with our Kenmore. It is the third or fourth time that we've noticed water on the floor under the freezer, but the first time that we've been able to track it to the lid.

The only thing that makes sens to me is that this problem may be happening when our freezer has a frost buildup around the top of the unit which doesn't allow the lid to close perfectly snug. I'm thinking that this causes a bit of melt in whatever frost may be inside the lid from regular air circulation around the unit. It runs out the back of the lid when it opens.

Check that there is no frost around the rim of the freezer that may be causing a slight (it only takes a very small opening to allow warmer air to circulate under the lid) irregularity in the lid seal.

The lid switch on my kenmore 70 series has broken off. The wires are still attached, but the plastic unit is no longer connected to the underside of the machine top. I need to drain the machine somehow in...

There are two wires attached to the lid switch, just connect them together and the machine will work as normal. Please take care not to open the lid while it is operating. This switch is a safety cutout.

Is a Kenmore Elite Upright Frost-Free Freezer supposed to have water leaking from underneath it? Would this be the water accumulating from the "defrost cycle" on it?

Is the drain pan underneath overflowing? If so the water filter may be clogged and the water leaking past it to the pan. The normal amount of water from the defrost cycle shouldn't fill it up. The condenser fan usually evaporates the water by blowing the warm air on the pan.
There could be a leak because or the defrost drain being stopped up but this usually comes out the bottom of the freezer door.
Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

I have a mr.freeze sa-12863 that is leaking water under the machine.help

If the water is actually coming from under the ice maker, I can't help you.
However, I just discovered water leaking from around the top of the lid on mine. I took the lid off [by first removing both side panels and then the screws for the top] and discovered that there is a metal plate under the water spout that causes water to splash up around the lid. In mine, this led to water running out aall the way around the lid, down the sides, and all over the counter. You can't remove the spout without messing up the water level sensor, but I bent the plate a bit flatter and no longer have splashing water everywhere.
