Re: boss

If the top units and oven only get barely warm you have a loose connection on one leg of the 240 volt maybe where the line enters range.

Appears wall oven not getting power.

First thing I would check is the household breaker...if it is good, go to the back of the unit where the power cord hooks up to (the terminal block) and check each side for the appropriate voltage. Should have at least 120 volts from black to center (white), 120 volts from red to center and 240 volts from red to black. If you have all of the appropriate voltages, then you need to concentrate on the control boards. Good luck

Jenn air mod. # sve47100 oven not heating

when you checked the elements for continuity did you remove at least one of the wires off of it,if not it will check good.if the elements are good, unplug it,pull it out and remove the back wall so you can get at the wires, plug it back in and make sure you're getting 240 volts to the bake element and 120 volts to the broil,if you have 240 volts coming to the machine at the plug and you don't have 240 at the bake element check for broken wire,if wires are good you have a bad clock assy. the relay on the computer board is bad and you'll have to change out the clock assy. unfortunitly you can't get this clock anymore but you can send it out to have it rebuilt,go here and get info, hope this helps

You should have 120 to the element when not in bake mode, while in bake mode you should have 220 - 240 volt. Sounds like you lost a relay to send the additional power to the element, or you have a High Limit thermostat which could be open. This is a safety device to protect the unit from over heating, this only goes if temperatures increase higher the safety levels, normally set about 200 degrees or so along the air flow channels. I would trace from the elements to the clock and find the missing source of current.
I hope this helps

Jenn-air electric down draft stove has power to the controlls but the power to the elements is not working on the stove and the oven. is there a fuse? What is my problem?

The electrical connections are as follows: L1 goes to one of the 120 VAC hot lines. N goes to neutral. L2 goes to the other 120 VAC hot line. You may have a separate ground wire (required on all new installations) connected to the stove frame. L1 + L2 = 240 VAC.

Your controls are connected to L1 and neutral. The wiring here is good. The heater elements are connected to L1 and L2 with no connection to neutral. Either the L2 line is open, or the L1 connection that provides power to the heaters is open (probably a different wire than the one providing power to the controls). L2 is the most probable culprit, and the problem could be the wall socket, the stove cord, or a bad connection inside the stove. (I recently fixed a case like this - both the socket and the plug on the cord were burned out.)

Jenn Air Older Oven wall unit only

Shannbooks The first thing I would recommend to do is to reset the power. Turn off the breaker for the range for couple minutes and then turn it on. In the most cases it works. Set the time of the day and try to use the oven. If it would not solve the problem let me know. Good luck. Gendos. post back...
