Question about AKG K 240 Studio Professional Headphones

1 Answer

AKG K240S headphones not working well.

I have two pair that I bought in July. One works well, the other buzzes at high pitch levels, plus only the left side works. Nothing comes through the right side. What can be wrong?

Thanks,
Laurie Winckel

A buzz in one ear and no sound in the other 'sounds' like an open connection inside the headphones. The K240-series uses three wires from the pin to the headphones. Right speaker not working akg k270

As monitors, I have used either the on-board speakers or headphones worn over the headworn microphone. In both cases, my own voice (as processed through 'Mike Effects' and VH) can't be heard over the music.

This is distinct from the recording on the USB stick where my own (processed) voice is in balance with the music.

Either I need an additional recording gadget to turn up the monitor volume of my processed voice while leaving the monitor volume of the music at a set level, or I have overlooked a setting somewhere. I am hoping for the latter (and I am still looking).

When I talk, my friends complain of a high pitched buzzing. I'm using the Turtle Beach X11 via a wired controller on the Xbox 360.

Same issue here. Can hear the high pitch buzz, and friends complain about it.

I have 2 Turtle Beach X11 headsets, and 3 Xboxes (std, Elite, slim)

Unplug the mic, and no high pitch buzz. Plug it back in, and its back.

Tried all 3 boxes experience same issues

Playing with volume and mic settings doesn't make a difference.

Would love to have a fix for this :-)

The left and right ear bud work some times. and if i turn the base were you plug it into the device it coukd work how can i fix it so they can both work at the same time.

Probably can't. What typically happens is that the base of the wire gets stressed from wrapping the cord around you media player and it eventually breaks the copper wire inside of the insulation. You likely can not even see the damage, let alone repair it. Be more carefull with the next set, and might I recommend a set of AKG ear buds. I use AKG studio headphones and bought my little sister some AKG ear buds, very impressive quality very close to my studio headphones. AKG K 313

A year ago i bought an AKG k512 headphones .I really liked them ,but like a week ago the right headphone stopped working. What to do?

Hi,it might be due to the wire that has cut inside the speaker area.

You will need to open the speaker area, and check if the wires are still in place.

And also, if the wires are intact, You will need to replace the speaker inside the headphone, That will solve the problem..

Thanks for using fixya....
