I am an authorized Hitachi servicer. I looked on the tech site for this model and I do not see any symptoms as you are having. Have you tried a new HDMI cable?? Please respond and I will take it from there.

No colour

Hi, Definitely a TV issue for me. Changed Wii to another input on TV and resolved situation. Need now to check how to get my TV to recognize colour on AV2 & 3 because I prefer to keep DVD input as AV1!

I had to use the (RCA) video inputs and not the component inputs. These are the ones made for video games. If you want to use the component input (Component cables are Red,White Red, Green, Blue). If you don't have any, you should be able to purchase them at your local electronics store like Radio Shack or Best Buy. Hope this helps, read below:

TV (This is your cable connection or TV; coax)
Component 1 (Must use component cables for this input/output; Red and White for audio, Red, Blue, Green for Video)
Component 2 (Must use component cables for this input/output; Red and White for audio, Red, Blue, Green for Video)
HDMI 1 (HDMI Cable)
HDMI 2 (HDMI Cable)
Video 1 (Must Use RCA cables, or RCA jacks; Red and White for Audio, Yellow for Video)
Video 2 (Must Use RCA cables, or RCA jacks; Red and White for Audio, Yellow for Video)

Samsung tv 32:inch no LE32R74BDZ WILL NOT WORK WHEN CONECTED WITH HMDI CABLE ,SCREEN GOES GREEN. SO I USE COMPOSITE CABLES .I HAVE A FOXSAT HD SKY BOX. BUT I WANT HD PICTCURES. AS I HAVE AN HD BOX . IS IT...

We need to narrow things down . If you have a dvd player that has an HDMI output plug that into the HDMI input of the tv with a diffent cable than the one for the sky box. If color is still green then the main board on the tv is bad. If the picture is good then Either the cable used for the sky box is bad or the sky box is bad.

I need a wiring diagram to connect a samsung tv, sky+HD, DVD recorder, Wii and Playstation 3...thnx

all you have to remember is out of one into the other IF got Ariela on house that goes into sky then out of sky in to DVD recorder and out of that and into tv

on back of sky hd if you are going to use HDMI cable put cable into sky box and other end into tv ( you will have ot put tv on HDMI input/source)
or use scart lead in stead
THIS DEPENDS ON HOW YOU WANT TO CONNECT PLAYSTATION
everything else is colour coded

Connecting to HD TV

This TV has no HDMI input socket. It Has a DVI input socket. Therefore you will require an HDMI to DVI converter adapter or an HDMI to DVI cable. The DVI is video only so you will require audio cables from your Sky box (Audio L and R ) which will connect to the back left of your TV (Audio L/R sockets next to the s-video and component video connectors)

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525, and when the Directv installer came out, he said that he could not connect the box to my tv because he didn't know how to get my tv in HDMI mode. From what I am reading, it...

Your right connect the HDMI output from the directv receiver to an HDMI input on your tv. Change the tv input to the HDMI input and it should work. If your tv does not have HDMI input then it should have component input indentified as red blue green connectors on the back of tv. This is for video only. Connect the red and white for audio using the yellow/red/white cable that was included with receiver. The red blue green cable is also included with receiver as well as the HDMI cable. Did this installer educate you on how to use your directv equipment. If you are paying for HD access but your receiver is not connected the an HD input on your tv then you are not getting what you are paying for. This should of been resolved during the installation. The installer either is incompentant or just did not care. Call directv and demand them to make their receiver work with your tv if this means a field supervisor tech being sent out to correct this.

LE40R74BDX HDMI input stopped working

I work for sky as an engineer (not a subby)

HDCP is the encryption that is sent down when a program is transmitted. I have had this several times over the years and have found out that you need go to the manufactors web site or call them to update your telly this will sort out this problem.
I would do this sooner then later... reason I am telly you this is sky have take the Component inputs off all the sky boxes now.... The box you have is a THOMSON (have a look.... make you smile)lol this was due to people connecting there sky HD box to there pc via Component and using programs like Copy+ and extract + to copy the content.

If your box breaks down. then you are snookered if you telly is not going to accept the skyHD through a HDMI connection.

Hope this helps

Cheers
