Panasonic Phone KX-TG2432

Whenever I push the 'talk' button, I continually receive this message: "no link to base, need to move closer to base" Battery looks to be 100% charged.

Can you help?

Thank you.
Karen

Well i went to a sale and she said that the base got hit buy lighing and. she sold me one out of four phones. but there is three left. So what i did is I plug the phone in to see if it works but it comes up with no link to the base, try again.

Get the no link to base problem on handset #2. Try the Menu 0,0 solution suggested, but it doesn't work right away. Stick the phone into the charger and eventually it registers, but the area around the battery gets very hot and within a day the problem recurs. Panasonic tells me to go to a service centre.

I placed the cordless phone into the cradle and plugged the cradle into a working electrical outlet overnight. The cordless phone did not charge. How can I get the cordless to charge?

The keypad on one of my kx-tg5453m handsets will charge. The screen will light and beep when lifted from base but no button pushed has any effect as if the keypad is locked out but instructions do not describe any such feature as far as I can tell. The battery is new.

We had the same problem tonight. We unplugged the phones, plugged them back in, pressed the MENU button and followed other suggestions. However, as the charge light was not on for the base, I eventually figured it was a power source problem. Upon checking the outlet, I discovered that the breaker must have tripped. Once that was reset (in this house, it was a matter of resetting the GFI button on another outlet in the area) the phone worked fine.

First step is to put your phone on the base unit.

press menu; press zero(0) two times. Enter the number of your extension that you want on the phone. By doing this on the working phones, you can check the extension number for each phone,i.e. have your base phone as #1, 2nd phone ext. 2, and third phone as ext. # 3. After you get the number set, the "charge" light will start flashing. OK should come on in bottom right corner and press "OK". Page 46 of my handbook for a TG5672/kx

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

When I press the talk button it says: No link to base. Move closer to base. Try again

Hand each phone up on the base and it will marry it. If you continue to have no link to base make sure everything is plugged in correctly. If it persists you probably have a defective phone.

Panasonic Kx-TG2432 Displays E9

Same here on KX-TG2248:

"Answer on" is flashing rapidly.
"Message/Slow Talk" is flashing rapidly.
"In Use/Charge" is flashing irregularly.
LED displays "E3" (and "set clock" symbol is flashing).

Removing and restoring power, many times,
produced one "spontaneous remission"
(it worked fine for several hours)
but next time moved (having to disconnect power),
it's now quite "committed" to remaining "insane" as above.

Model#kx-tg6071b when talk button is pushed, screen shows" no link to base move closer, try again". That is what appears on both handsets.

Press MENU, scroll down to INITIAL SETTINGS (press select), scroll down to REGISTRATION (press select), then select HS REGISTRATION, and follow the instructions on the handset screen. This is for the KX-TG6071B, but is similar for most Panasonic Cordless phones. That will link the handset to the base, and YOU MUST DO IT WITH EACH HANDSET.

No link to base move closer to base

Your getting this message because the radio portion of the handset or/and base is not communicating with each other. This can be temporary or fatal. You can try re-registering the handset(s) to the base by following the directions in the manual, its fairly easy to do for any model. If that does not work, and you have more than one handset not working with this problem, then it sounds as if your base needs repair or replacing.
