I'm having problems with the audio for my hp dv6929wm laptop. Windows does not detect and audio device and everytime i go to update the drivers the installation stops because it can't detect and audio...

If you've ensured the correct services are running and the correct drivers are installed/attempted to be installed, I'd say there's a good chance you're experiencing a hardware problem. The easiest way to test that is w/ a Linux Live CD or to perform a factory OS reinstallation. If you don't want to restore the the computer, try booting a computer up w/ a Ubuntu install cd, and try running the OS live (w/out reformatting/installing the OS), and test the sound. I recommend Ubuntu because the driver support is pretty good. With that said, if it doesn't have the correct sound driver for your hardware, this solution will not help us out, so at that point, I'd recommend reinstalling Windows and see if your sound works. If it doesn't work after the OS reinstallation it's a hardware problem.

I would reinstall xp OS... you should be able to do a restore without loosing any of your own files. After an os restore you may have to reinstall a few programs but your data files should be ok if you do the correct type of install.

My hp webcam doesn`t seem to be enabled

drivers for webcam hp....
windows Xp
I assumed that for vista you have the drivers cause the laptop came with a vista os on it ...anyway you can get them on a search on google cause it is an easy to
ok ...what you have to do if it do not see your cam fist go to the add remove software the control panel ...and remove any driver related to the camera..
than take a look into the device manager right click on my computer icon ..than properties/...hardware ...and device manager ...
Here you look for the webcam should be presented in yellow ..with an ask sign ..if it has no driver....
If there is nothing like a web-cam the last icon (scan for hardware changes) ..or right click on computer and same ..scan for hardware changes...this will scan for any devices that are added and not yet installed...
The same thing can be made ...from the control panel by using the add new hardware wizard ...but ..sometimes it is hard to find it in the list ...
Anyway..., after you located the camera...eiter run first the driver you downloaded for xp ...or you already have for vista.....and than restart ...or ...right click on the camera in the device manager ...and run update driver wizard ...and durring this will choose the driver by browsing from list ...
beter do it both way the installer ...and after that update from the device manager to find it ...
or if the driver is not an instaler but a folder update driver ...and point it to the folder by browsing to choose driver manually ...
Restart ...and beware that during the installation the windows os ..may not recognize the driver as a digitally signed on e...but choose to run it anyway ..
Good luck ! and do not forget to rate ...Thanx!

How can i install audio divice by motherboard cd

Installing a driver is not a problem...
simply open my computer, and autorun the cd (If Autorun is enabled)
If Not, Follow these steps :

-Go to my computer,
-Right click, go to its property,
-Go to devie Manager, Click Yes to .UAC notification.
-Now go to sound & audio, expand it.
- When u find ur prefered audio device, select it & make a right click over it,
- Now click update driver,
- follow the steps & let it search the best driver from the CD
- Be patient as it would take time to surf 700MB's of cd.
- After this is done, it will install the driver software & its done..
Restart Ur System & its done..

And My Personal Advice For Vista Users,
Turn off the .UAC notification that comes everytime u click somethin to install or somethin, its really harassing.
To Disable it Follow these steps (It wont Hard Anything)
Click on start
Click on ur Photo (User Account Control)
Once it gets open, select ur profile,
U'll see a tab,
Open it & unmark it..
Restart it & see how fast ur system can be

Hope This Helped u out...

do you have any operating system disks or restore disks, if so re-install with the restore disks and it will be just as it would have been, what operating system are you using, probably windows xp or vista, but most likely solution is to re install the OS, or try exploring any other options given by the error dialog.
