Question about Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Notebook
I have a Lenovo T61. It was plugged into some headphones. I tripped over the cord and it fell (fortunately off a low table, onto carpet, and on its side). The headphone jack bent, and when I plugged a good jack in, it went in easily and no sound. I assume the contact point is no longer touching the jack. Can I open this thing up and fix that part?
Yes, the laptop can be taken apart and the auido/microphone card be replaced. However, opening up a laptop requires removing a lot of parts. Also not every laptop assembles and disassembles the same way. I would recommend letting someone else do this unless you have any experience with repairing laptops.
