  • Reset component settings. Usually, the problems you encounter with a Mitsubishi projection TV may be resolved through the resetting to its factory settings. If you experience inaccuracies in the color, reset the television's PerfectTint/PerfectColor capabilities. Simply press the Menu tab and then highlight "Perfect Color" using your right key arrow. After this, press "Enter" and then "Reset" in order to reset to factory settings. If you have audio / video problems (VCR or DVD player), simply press "Menu" and highlight the "Reset" option.
Reset television controls. In case you cannot fix your TV via its component settings, there are other ways of resetting. Just select "Menu", key in "1, 2, 3", and then press "Enter." In doing this, the TV's manufacturer's specifications will all be restored. If your TV's power system does not function, you should perform a complete system reset. You can do this by clicking on Reset System button located at the TV's control panel. Your television will be turned off and then a green light (LED) will quickly flash for approximately one minute. Once the light has stopped flashing, your TV should immediately turn on.

What is the best color setting for Mitsubishi WS-48515 48 in?

The menu will have some choices---if someone hit the reset it returns all of them to default levels.

You do need the Mitsubishi remote to do that--go into menu and look for custom-which is the one you can preset all to your taste---the only critical one is PICTURE which is contrast---it should never be set above 70 percent or fixed images (like games) can burn the images into the tubes this set uses.

If you do not have the owner manual let me know--I know a site that has them for free.

The color on my Mitsubishi WD 65734 rear projection tv just went out. I did not hear anything. I just turned it on and had no color.

With the Mitsubishi remote: have set on and hit Menu, 1,2,3 enter to do a soft reset of the unit.

I would also suggest you check all connections if you are using a box for signal and look to see if have color from DVD or blue ray etc.

Let me know what you find with a comment here before you rate this solution.

How do I get my cable box to work on my mitsubishi medallion hdtv 1080. It worked before then my service was interuppted now all the tvs in my house work except this one.

Reset the component settings. Most problems with Mitsubishi projection televisions can be resolved by resetting the television to factory settings. In the case of color inaccuracies, the TV's PerfectColor/PerfectTint capabilities can be reset by pressing the Menu button and using the right arrow key to highlight "PerfectColor." Press "Enter," then "Reset" to restore the factory settings. For issues with the audio or video of an incoming signal (DVD player or VCR), press "Menu" and use the right arrow key to highlight "Reset." This will restore the original factory settings for all incoming signals.

Colors have a blue-green tint

Try this first:

Press: MENU, 2, 4, 7, 0, ENTER

This will factory reset your tv. Be aware, this will erase any NetCommand or user-created features you have set up on the tv.

Check your results.

If you don't see a change, begin to suspect either the lamp, color wheel or light engine.
