Down load memtest from here

http://www.memtest.org/

and follow instructions to make a bootable iso. This will test the ram to see if it is producing errors at all.

Should be able to run it for an hour without even 1 error. Any at all and ram is faulty/not setup correctly.

Post back with results and we will take from there :)

Open the router, remove the memory sticks and reseat them. Sounds like the memory channels are having issues if the memory itself isn't the problem.

Memory write/read failure at 000510784, read EA05E805 expecting EA05E805 . To resolve try to reseat memory.

Hello.

To reseat the memory modules, disconnect all cables and remove the battery. Flip the laptop and remove the memory cover (has one screw). Remove the module(s) on a slant. Reinsert in place. Replace the memory cover. Insert the battery. Connect the a/c adapter and power on.

If you receive the same error, replace the memory. Can be found on the Dell site.

Hope this helps.

Bootup error

You have a dodgy memory module in the laptop.
By the sounds of it, and the fact you can get into Windows then you will probably have 2 memory modules installed and it is probably in the second one there is an error.

If there are 2 modules in there, remove the second one and try that, then if it still fails put that one back in and remove the first.

If there is only one module in the laptop, then move it from the slot it is in to the other slot. Besure to push it in properly. There is a notch on the memory modules so they will only go in one way.

Hope that helps =)
