PUK CODE: This is usually a problem associated with a LOCKED SIM CARD. This can sometimes happen when you enter your PIN incorrectly too many times. I would recommend going to a retail location of your service provider (ex. AT&T Store) and ask for a SIM CARD SWAP. This service is free for most providers. If you are charged for a SIM swap, tell the person helping you that SIM swaps do not cost any money and that they are free and that is what you were told over the phone.

There is also another way to go.
You can call yout service provider (ex. ATT, T-Mobile) or the company that branded the phone (the company that the phone is locked to) and tell them that you would like the unlock code for your phone. They will probably ask WHY you want the unlock code. Tell them that you will be going out of the country and need the phone unlocked in order to use a pre-paid SIM card in the country of destination. You should visit the website www.02.co.uk/apps/get puk/welcome and the click on services and then on unblock phone scroll down and then enter your mobile phone number to get the puk code to make a new pin code then verify the code and it will work!
Well i said to put a code on the lg cookie kp500 but now it has locked the phone. and it is coming up with what is the PUK Code and we dont know what to do. please help

PUK code can be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number.
Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no. If you cant contact through your phone get some other phone and contact them.
Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.

Hi,
If you need the PUK ( Personal Unblocking Key ) for your phone, you will have to contact your mobile phone service provider.
PUK code is related to the SIM card you are using. So, kindly call the Customer support of your mobile service provider and they will provide you with the PUK code.
Also, entering a wrong PUK code ten times in a row disables the SIM card permanently. So, please be careful while entering the PUK code.
