Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Canon Digital Rebel bracketing

Do you have the dial set to either P, Tv, Av, M or A-DEP? It will only work in those modes, and will probably only be in the camera icon menu when the camera is set to one of those modes.
Hope that helps.

SOURCE: D3 will not show option to do firmware upgrade from 1.0 to 2.02

Copy just the AD3_0202.BIN file to the top level of a formatted CF card. Insert the card and select Firmware from the Setup menu.

Repeat the process using just the BD3_0202.BIN file.

Full instructions are here.

Reset language

Press the MENU button, select the wrench icon, then select the seventeenth item on the submenu. I know it's a pain when you can't read the language it's currently in. All camera makers seem to have trouble understanding that the main reason someone wants to change the language is that the someone can't read the menu.

If you're not sure you've got the right item, you can always go into each submenu in turn. If there's an option labeled "English," select it. If not, just back out without changing anything.

RESET ALL Button

I'm convinced you already did read the user manual. There are three things you can reset:
1. User settings. In menu mode P, you can undo all the settings you made. Page 69.
2. Reset all settings. Page 151 Menu settings, chose the wrench symbol and chose reset all. All settings will be restored to factory settings.
3. Reset file numbering. Page 154 Menu settings, chose the wrench symbol and chose reset file numbering.
In the same menu is also the view firmware version. Yours should read Coolpix P90 Ver.X.X .
The latest update of firmware for the P90 is 1.1 Great chance your camera came with that revision already. If you registered your camera with Nikon, they will inform you when a new firmware is released.
Really, there is nothing more you can reset on the camera.
So if something is wrong, it can't be helped with the reset you have in mind, because that reset does not exist.
If you want the firmware 1.1, goto Nikon USA and support. Everything you want is there.

The cameras are not meant to have multiple languages. You accidentally received a Japanese version of the camera. Call of the manufacturer and they should send you an English version. Let me know if you need anything else and I would be glad to help
