What do you mean, "... while the Fax is on."? You can set the fax so it will automatically receive a fax, but while a fax is being processed (send or receive) you will not be able to use the printer for anything else. You can set up lots of things about the fax, but if you are printing the printer is pretty well busy doing that.

How can I cancel incoming fax on lexmar x646e

If the printer is connected to a network, get the IP address of the printer and access printers web interface. You may print a network settings page to get the IP address of your printer. Open a web browser and type the IP address on the address bar.

On the left side, click on the configuration menu and click on fax settings and select fax setup. Under fax receive settings, please uncheck enable fax receive.

You may also do this using the printer's operator panel. Just press on Menu button and select settings. Select fax settings and analog fax set up. Select fax receive settings and turn off enable fax receive then press submit.

What you need to do to set up fax on most printers is use a standard phone cable. ( Cat 3 )

Plug one end intor the printer and the other end into a phone jack.

Then follow the instuctions on the manual to set up the fax number on the all in one printer.

How can i receive fax on my printer

Your printer should have software to install for the fax. Then go to control panel and click the fax machine, check your connectivity settings and make sure the phones numbers are correct for out-going and the in-coming settings.
If you do not see the fax in printers then the fax part of the printer has not been installed, then install hardware, then software and use the install wizard if you have one. This helps too.
