I want to reverse the swing on my dryer. It looks straight forward enough except that the manufacturer says I need to buy a left door hinge. No dealers near me, shipping costs blah, blah, blah. Do I really need to order a part or just flip the one I have over? Part Number 499011?
What are the siza of the star shaped screw heads? Trick to popping off the plastic protectors?

Re: Bosch Dryer WTMC3321
Hello Teambrant, the screws are a T-20 torx for the door and T-25 for the hinge. You can use the T-20 for both if you need to. Open the door all the way, remove the screws, then as you close the door it will come off. This kit will have all the parts needed for the kit. You will have to have the kit to reverse this door. The plastic retainers slide down, I use a pop sickle stick to push them down.

Unfortunately, these doors aren't manufactured to be reversible. The matching dryers for these washers, however, are able to be swapped from side to side. What I can suggest is swap the actual positions of the washer and dryer. This is of course possible if you have long enough water hoses, power cords, dryer vent, and the drain line will reach.
Sorry, but the door on the washers are not reversible, only the dryer doors are reversible. I'd suggest using a low profile telescopic style dryer vent to allow you to put the washer on the left side without worrying about the dryer vent location. You can get longer dryer power cords if needed, and water supply extention hoses, or just longer hoses if needed. The drain hose is usually long enough to still reach the drain. I have done this many times.
hi.. When your dryer drum isn’t turning anymore, it’s usually a broken belt.
Tearing the dryer apart is usually straight-forward enough but
stringing the new belt on the motor and idler pulley can be tricky. The
Complete Encyclopedia of Dryer Belt Configurations shows the belt configurations for almost every dryer brand you can think of.
On these model you can only reverse the door swing on the dryer but not the washer. Alternatively, you can switch places with the washer and dryer provided the washer fill and drain hoses are long enough and there is enough room without obstructing the dryer exhaust vent .
If you want to know how to reverse the door swing on the dryer, post your model number and I will try to assist you further. Good luck!
ummm.. you can only reverse the door opening in oyour dryer, your washer CANNOT be switched it only opens to the left. the dryer can be switched and the "hine kit" if applicable, only contains a new peicw of trim to cover the exposed trim after revesing the door( the catches are on top and bottom no need to reverse them)
nope sorry but all front load washers are built with a locking system on the door and that makes them impossible to change the door swing. the only thing you can do is move the washer and dryer position by getting longer hoses and venting so you can have the washer on the left and the dryer on the right.
Electrolux has a reversible door for both front load washer and dryer. Just found that out at HHGregg because we need to put our washer to the right of the dryer, and none of the other makes will allow the washer door swing to be switched.
