1: Plug your mp3 player into your computer 2: Go to the start panel on the bottom left corner of your computer 3: Go to my computer 4: Go to where it says JET 5: Go to internal memory 6: Go to the Music folder 7: highlight whatever you may want deleted (you might have to do 1 at a time) 8: right click your mouse 9: go to delete 10: go to yes
There that should do the trick if you have completed each step successfully then you should have all the songs that you did not want removed.
Exploring ''My Computer'' seeing the player as a removable disk, media
can be transferred like normally putting files to a external device. Always remember to safely remove hardware connection of the player before disconnecting the device.
Using Windows Media Player 11
The Media Player supported by Microsoft Windows. Run WMP11 to
see the player as a media device. Transfers to the player can be made
making playlists and synchronizing them to the S2001.
For updating WMP11 go to the original site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx
Using Yahoo! Music Jukebox
Music Jukebox of Yahoo! is also a software utility for transferring your music to the player. The Yahoo! Jukebox contains links for buying music to download (there is a free trial).
This software is difficult to download directly form the original site.
When still wanting to use it, get a download from e.g. next site: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,6152-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html
What format are the iTunes file in?
The S2001 Jet does not support DRM file types from any source (such as iTunes "*.m4p" files). This particular model also does not support the files if the files are non-DRM from iTunes ("*.m4a" files). The only files that are supported are .mp3 and .wma files. Maybe some software could convert them for you to transfer, but most likely they will not be compatible straight from iTunes unless they are in a compatible format.
When performing "Clear Mysel" in the Player Menu you will only delete your playlist, songs added in "Add to Mysel" earlier.
For deleting files you'll have to make a connection with the computer using the transfer software from RCA, Windows Media Player 11 or the
delete method in Windows Explorer.
I had the same probIem...I downloaded the upgrade firmware for my RCA Jet 2001 ran the software while holding the 'Play' button down on my player the entire length of the format and install. This overides something and lets it format and install. Hope this helps someone
