Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5500 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Try to run the media sensor calibration. you can do this by pressing menu button of your printer and look for media sensor calibration., Try to clean also the printhead deep clean you can also see tis by pressing menu.
If this not solved update the firmware at kodak.com/go/downloads, when updating the firmware make sure pinter is connected to a computer and printer must turn On
If this solution not solved by doing media sensor calibration cleaning the printhead and updating the firmware

I recently had the same exact problem. It seems, as with most electronic machines, its electronic circuitry needs to be reset every once in a while. So I unplugged the machine while still on, waited about 2 minutes or so and then replugged it. It started printing normally. I did take out all cartridges first, but I'm not sure that step is necessary. Give it a shot. It worked for me.

SOURCE: Printing out blank pages
Had the same problem and found that actually I didn't have the cartridge installed correctly. Make sure that the blue tape on the "bottom" of the cartridge came off when you pulled the tape off to install the cartridge. It is a blue translucent film which covers the port on the bottom and wraps around the front side about 1 1/2" long. On my black cartridge it didn't come off when I pulled the tab. This probably isn't the problem you're having but worth checking. Good luck.
