Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Have you pressed by accident the combo for external monitor (Fn + f1toF12)? I just reproduced the problem on mine laptop.
Does it seem to boot normally (Numlock On and Off)? If yes, try to attach an external monitor and activate it via the respective key, usually Fn+F1toF12. If you have picture, it is either the cable between the base and the lid, or more serious damage of the LCD.
