First I kept getting message that said 'firmware problem'. Then I got it into 'rescue mode' and it won't go out of that either. When I go to reboot it, the 'firmware problem' still flashes for a second and it goes to 'rescue mode' again. Help!!!! I tried to install the drivers again and update firmware but I don't know how to do it... It didn't work. I did a backup of music on computer and it's gone from mp3 but I don't know what else to do.

My pandigital android tablet will not turn on or off it just keeps trying.

I had that problem too. Your firmware is corrupt. You will need to go to http://www.pandigital.net/pandigitalnovel
and click on "Firmware Updates Click Here" Link and follow the instruction. You might need to copy the firmware directly to the SDcard root /sdcard and reboot your tablet by pressing on the power button AND the UP volume button at the same time until you see the reboot sequence screen. Good Luck

Dell Digital Jukebox

Anything unusual happen to the player before the problem started? Dropped it or perhaps unplugged it from pc while synchronising? The most likely fixable problem is a loose connector on the HDD/main board cable, or a failing battery/power adaptor giving the HDD a voltage too low. unfortunately however the HDD on these players is a bit vulnerable to rough treatment. When you connect it to a computer, does it still appear as normal or is it not recognised etc. What operating system PC are you using - perhaps formatting from the PC first before trying to install the firmware will help. Are you using the latest firmware from Dell or are you using a cd that came with the player? Is your player still under warranty or do you want to try and open it up and have a check yourself. Let me know more info and what you wish to try :)

My CREATIVE ZEN Micro doesn't play any media after i accidentally dropped it. Is there hope?

1. Ensure that the player is turned off

2. Remove the battery.

3. Move and hold the Power button to the Power On position and re-insert

the battery to the Zen Micro. Hold the Power button until the rescue

mode appears.

4. After 2-3 seconds the rescue menu will be displayed.

At this point the battery can safely be replaced and maintenance options

performed.

5. Four options will be displayed on the LCD screen:

? Clean Up - (To rearrange your stored data)

? Format All - (To format and remove all data)

? Reload Firmware - (Reloads your player's operating system - Do not

choose this option unless you have downloaded a firmware update from the

Creative website)

? Reboot - (Restarts your Player)

6. Select the Clean Up and then the Reboot option.

Now, please try turning off the player.

can you format?
  1. Detach the Zen player from your PC , and ensure that the Zen Sleek is turned off.
2. Connect the power supply to the player.
3. Hold down the Play/Pause button while inserting a paper clip into the Reset hole
underneath your player, beside the data/power connector. Keep on holding the

then appear.

Dell DJ won't reload or reboot

I would first suggest reformatting the DJ from Rescue Mode, and then try reloading the firmware from here: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R107735&SystemID=PDA_MP3_DJ_2&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=9420&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=3&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=31&fileid=139674 If neither of those work, it may be time to look into some repair options. Frozen MP3 Player

There's a reset hole by the side of the player. Try reseting it. It can freeze sometimes, and fix itself after a while. no apparent reason. reset, run the battery down and recharge. Hope it helps. this is from the creative site: The recovery mode consists of these four operations. * Clean Up: It is the least destructive operation. It scans a player's hard disk and removes any invalid links from the music library. It does not affect music files themselves. It is recommended that you perform "Clean Up" first before formatting or reloading the player's firmware. It is recommended that you clean up regularly if you frequently transfer files between a PC and your player. * Format All: It is the same as a Windows format performed in a PC, and consequently all contents will be lost after a format. * Reload Firmware: Reloads the player's firmware (Operating System). It will also format the player. Note : It requires the player be connected to a PC that meets the player's minimum system requirement. Select this option ONLY if you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install. * Reboot: Reboots the player. You can reboot the player after performing a clean-up or format, or reboot it without performing neither of them. It is recommended that you try these operations in the following sequence: reboot the player; clean up and reboot; format and reboot; and finally, reload the player's firmware. If your player seems to stuck in the recovery (rescue) mode, you can try the "reboot" operation first, and format the player if necessary. If it fails to reboot, you will need to connect the player to a PC, and reinstall its firmware. For a detailed instructions on how to install a player's firmware, please refer to Updating the firmware on a Creative MP3 player, or refer to the Web Release note of the firmware download. Unlike other hard disk based players, Zen Neeon does not have a rescue mode. Though there is a Player Recovery Mode , it is for use when updating its firmware only. 1. Detach your player from your PC , and ensure that it is turned off. 2. Close all active applications (for example, Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, or Windows Media Player etc), as well as background applications such as Norton anti-virus applications. 3. Download the latest device driver if you have not installed any drivers for your player. The file name is MStorage_PCDRV_LB_1_07_00_250.exe. 4. Double click on the file MStorage_PCDRV_LB_1_07_00_250 to install it. Follow the instructions on the screen. 5. Hold down the Play/Pause button while connecting the player to a PC's USB port. 6. When the Creative logo appears on its screen, release the Play/Pause button. The player is now in Player Recovery Mode.
