I just bought a Vivicam 8025. It comes with a 3 inch disc with user's manual. I cannot use a three inch disc in my computer. I can take pictures, but the camera won't save them. It says my disk is full....

the 3inch disk fits into the same drive as your cd just place it in the center depression of the CD/DVD drive

as for the disk full error check to see from the camera settings if you have set to save the photos on the camera or on the memory card

pls rate if it was any help

Disk says not enough space on disk to finilize?

Each time you execute finalization, the disc remaining space will decrease by approximately 13 MB. If you don’t have enough room, it won’t allow you to finalize the disc.
To finalize this disc, you have to delete some pictures to make enough space. But don’t worry, before you delete those pictures, you can save them to your computer.
Find out the CDs came with your camera, refer your manual page 51 - 61 to install ‘PIXELA PTP Manager’ , connect your camera and computer with USB cable, and copy some pictures to your computer, then delete the pictures on camera side. If still not enough room, copy more and delete more. make it enough to do the finalization.

Disk is asking to be formatted - already been in use

this could be a help to you, first off most, cds, and memory disk, get scratched or worn out, that causes errors or corrupt file readings. so thats why it asked you to format, formating helps clean the drive up,like a tune up on and old car.and if you dont and try to put high grade gas in before the tune up your still going to have the same problem,so in saying you have to put the old one back in,format it. and then put the new one in after you completed formating the old one.good luck, hope that helped you.

I put a floppy disk in MVC-FD90 & it would not release it.

Make sure the disk isn't in backwards. If it takes a superdisc, it might not take a regular floppy. Once you get one in, try to format it with the camera, no matter what message you get.

Format Error code C:13:01

this camera is a gem! try finalizing the disc using nero burning software or any alternative. but dont try this on the disc that has your important pictures for safety reasons.

I have one of the first digital cameras which I bought over 8 years ago from AOL. When I use a new disk in the camera it works fine, when I insert the disk into my computer running Windows XP and upload...

i think that the xp os reconfigures the disc to a readable format. hence it doesent work backwards.
if you try it on windows nt, it should start working

Disc Error

Repair will probably run from $180. to over $250. You can try to gently clean the lens with a Q-tip and cleaner.
This is a common problem with the Mavicas....The 400 and 500 models seem to last longer, but in the end..Sony has created another camera that despite it's price is a 'throw away camera" (just like the one's that used floppies)
