Question about Ovens
If the oven shuts down completely, check wiring and control board.
If instead you get no heat or the oven stops heating at low temperature, test elements, temperature probe, and electronic control board.
If either one of the elements does not heat properly, test the element first.
If both broiler and baker do not heat check the temperature probe.
You test the probe using a multimeter..
You set the multimeter to read ohms. Then remove the probe and point multimeter contacts to probe.
At room the probe must have low impedance, about 1.1KOhm.
If the probe will return open, then has blown.
In the same way you test the heating elements.
You read continuity, if the element returns circuit open, then replace it.
All tests must be done with power unplugged. The person doing the repair must be trained and health and safety aware.
