It stopped cooling ; power on ; it's not making any noise - not running. The light is on.

It was working fine this morning, although I hadn't heard it so I wondered. This afternoon it was clear that there was no cooling taking place. Still no noise. The light is on - there is power to the plug. I've adjusted the controls in frig and freezer parts. Still no sound coming from the box.

Is it in a really cold area? Most refrigerators need to be in an area that is 55 degrees or above. If that isnt' the problem, the defrost timer may have a dead spot and be stuck in the defrost mode. The other thing that it could be is the start capacitor that is on the compressor. If you take it off and it rattles, chances are it needs to be replaced.

My Rheem Criterion II gas furnace makes metal slapping noise when the blower comes on. It is not the blower or the motor.

Is there noise when the inducer motor comes on? The small motor that comes on first. It sucks the co out of the combustion chamber. It comes on first. Then the burner lights then the blower comes on. And the noise continues while it's running and doesn't stop till the blower stops? Is that correct? But it's not the blower wheel? Could it be out of balance and hitting the blower shroud?

My vinotemp vt60 starts cooling then stops

I sounds to me like the compressor is overheating. There is an overload on the compressor itself. Follow the wires where they go into the compressor. There will be a black wire going from the power cord to the overload. These can be purchased at appliance parts stores. Make sure there is no dirt build up on condenser coils or a kink in the tubing.

My impala runs great but when i go to leave and stop at a light and shes in drive sitting at the light she makes noise like loss of power or stalling idk i went to aotuzone they checked my alternator its...

When the AC is turned on, a number of things happen: the cooling fan is engaged, the idle speed is increased to account for the additional load of the compressor, and the AC clutch is engaged. My guess is that what you are hearing is the AC Clutch rattling due to a worn input shaft bearing. As soon as it is engaged, the noise goes away. It is possible that something else is going on here, but I would be tempted to focus on the AC compressor as the SOUND portion of your problem. When you say "...she makes noise like loss of power or stalling, I am not sure what you mean. Is it a noise, or is it actually losing power. With no MIL (check engine) light on and if the noise goes away after servicing the compressor, I would say you are fixed up. Good Luck.

My computer sounds like a power generator

Is this a laptop or a desktop PC? The two common parts of a computer that make noise are the cooling fan(s) and the hard drive(s). Is the noise caused by air moving, like a hair dryer? or does it sound mechanical like a grinding noise?

I have dell 3300mp,when I turn the power on it makes a very loud noise. It does not make the sound in standby or cool down. It does work and display a signal okay, but it is very loud. Sound like a fan?,...

The main fan that cools the lamp is mostly high speed when the unit is running. when it shuts down it slows the fan down, until it stops in standby. So the noise is only really loud when it is showing a picture.

try setting the fan to eco mode (slower running) and see if the noise is acceptable. If it is still too loud then you will have to replace it. Have a look at the fan and see if any of the plastic blades are missing.

BenQ DX 650 Won't power up making clicking noise

Those units are designed to be fan cooled after the bulb shuts off. When the cord was pulled, the unit lost power and without the fan, sat there and cooked. Could be a thermal fuse, could be the bulb.

Ac dose not really work very well and when i turn the wheel ths jeep make noises

When you turn the steering wheel and it makes a whirring noise, check the power steering fluid level. As for the aircon, make sure the setting is on cool, a/c light is on, on switch and that airflow is good. If it is still not cool after running for a couple of minutes, have refrigerant checked.

Flashing oil light/ loss of power

Check your converter on your exhaust when it's running and see if the noise of rattling is coming from there. If it is you have a plugged converter,it's broken up and in piece's which will make noise and no power especially when calling for power.Be sure to let exhaust cool before repair is done.If the engine is making the noise like a knocking sound you should bring it to have it checked.Hope this help's.
