Question about Televison & Video
Yes it can be fixed. If it is blowing a fuse, that's telling you that you have an internal short of some kind and the fuse is a safety devise to keep from burning the system up. Take it down to a electronics repair store that works on this type of equip, go through the yellow pages or Internet to locate a place. Have them give you a written estimate for the cost of repairing the unit. I don't know the value, but it could be something very inexpensive to repair. Good Luck,
Ps Please let me know what you find out.

Sounds like your power supply has developed a fault. I would be checking all the electrolytic capacitors on both sides of the switching transformer. HOWEVER, switchmode power supplies are extemely dangerous and if you are not familiar with their operation, DO NOT attempt this repair. Switchmode supplies have to be completely checked as the smallest issue or mistake will prevent them from operating correctly and the mains filter and surge electro's will hold their charge for several minutes. Be advised that this type of supply will happily supply all the current needed to kill you !!! That said, Always remove the mains plug from the wall ( dont rely on the switch), wait for several minutes and as long as you replace all parts with components of the same (especially temperature and value) or higher ratings and make sure that polarities are maintained, finding the faulty part should not be an issue.
