Power dc output not working in asus N53SV-DH71

This is caused by the Dc-board being defect. The pin in the middle has broken. You might get it to charge by trying to wiggle the adapterplug, but this can cause short curcuit and/or overheat issues. The dc-board needs to be replaced. There aredifferent dc-boards according to the different N53-models, be sure to pick the correct one if you're not to send it for repairs.

Computer is not charging the battery.

Your DC connector is probably loose from the system board:

Symptoms of a broken power jack
1. If you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back of the laptop, the power LED and battery charge LED start to flicker.
2. Battery will not charge in the laptop.
3. Laptop runs fine off a charged battery.
4. With the AC Adapter connected the laptop appears to be dead.
No power LED or battery charge LED activity.
5. Laptop randomly powers off without any warning.

If your laptop is out of warranty, then you can fix the problem by re-soldering DC-IN jack on the system board. If it

On start up the lap top starts to come on and within 6 seconds it switches off and not even the screen comes on?

Do you have it plugged in? Also, do you know if the battery is charging? You may have a bad DC connection.

Problem symptoms:

  1. Laptop randomly shuts down without any warning.
  2. Power LED and battery charge LED start flickering when you wiggle the power cord or the AC adapter tip on the back or your laptop.
  3. The battery will not get charged.
  4. When you plug AC adapter, the laptop appears to be dead and there is no LED activity at all (DC-IN jack on the system board is broken).

The DC connector needs to be resoldered on the system board.

I have an ASUS eee netbook. Recently the power cord hasn't been connecting well to the computer and now it doesn't even register. It's plugged in but isn't charging. Is it the cord or the laptop?

How to install CPU- Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 into a asus barebone system P4-P5N9300pc please?

This particular CPU is not on the list of processors supported by this board. See "CPU Support List" tab:

ASUS P4-P5N9300 Spec

How to install Socket LGA 775 CPUs:

Lift up the cpu slot load plate (which covers the pins and also locks the cpu in place) and install the processor slowly, vertically and carefully into the socket without bending any of the tiny pins in the motherboard socket. Lock the load plate.

The advent of the LGA 775 form factor moved the tiny pins from the CPU to the motherboard socket. Great for Intel, not so great for motherboard manufacturers. Now bent pins are the responsibility of the board makers. Customers with bent pin problems are no longer contacting Intel.

I wanted to know whether ASUS A7S266-VM/U2 will support seagate 7200.10

M/Boards support all makes of hard drive
Are you sure you connected it correctly
The wide ribbon cable that goes in the rear of hard drive should
1) Be connected to M/board in the No 1 connector with the stripe on cable to the No 1 pin
2) the stripe on cable should go next to the 4 pin power plug on hard drive
Also ensure your BIOS is set to Auto detect of driives

ASUS K8N-VM mother board win98 drives

Try going to the Asus website and look for support for your MB drivers and Operating System.

If there is no longer any Win98 support for your MB then I suggest a fresh computer and more recent software for less hassle!
A ten year old OS indicates to me that you might be stuck until you go with the flow!
Cruel but true.
Hopefully the recent cheap prices for computers pre-installed with Vista or XP will persuade you.
