Interior rear view mirror fell off my 98 BMW 540i

There is a small set screw that holds the mirror to the small metal button. Most vehicles use a small Phillips screw but some use a Hex Key Wrench (Allen Wrench) type screw. Slide the mirror off the button. Make sure not to remove the glue before you put the button back on. Trace around the glue with a grease pencil on the outside of the windshield before you remove it. So you know exactly where to replace the button. You can buy a Rear View Mirror Adhesive Kit for around five dollars.

The handle fell off the kettle, how can I re-fix it?

If it do not have any obvious way to fix it (locking clips or screws) and it was just inserted on the metal part ..than you can use some kind of glue for plastic and fix it back again .a super -glue will work or a strong plastic adhesive .Clean both ends so that any grease to be removed...and apply the adhesive on the plastic end .. and than insert it to the metal end such a way that the adhesive to fill the space and the excess substance will drain off when you press them together. leave them to react for a while without touching them sure you choose a temperature resistant adhesive ...

Rear view mirror, hanging by wires. can't remove wires or don't know how, the silver piece will not come off. no screws to remove anything, I need to get this down. I can't drive with it hanging.

The wires unplug from the back of the mirror. It is a very small plastic plug that clips into place and can be pulled off with wiring connections to plug intact; when done with repairs, plug it back on.

The little silver piece you are referring to is the mounting button which is normally affixed to the windshield by glue/adhesive substance. It is difficult to remove from the mirror bracket but is designed to be removed by depressing the black metal tang attached to the bracket at the front base of the button where it slides into the bracket. It took me 15 minutes to figure it out and 10 tries to get it depressed while also sliding the button out over the metal tang. Good luck! The button will then need to be cleaned and new glue/adhesive purchased from auto parts store for $5-$7. Glue it back, wait a while and remount mirror on it.

MAC "WIRELESS MOUSE" A 1015. The cover fell off and the metal bar on the cover will not stay in place and the small plastic cover over the light will not stay in place. help

I used Krazy glue (ethyl cyanoacrylate). The metal spring bar was originally held to the the cover by a piece of plastic sticking through the larger round hole at the latch end of the metal bar. Put the glue at that spot only.

Memeory stick repair

Metal end is there just to hold USB stick in the port. You can super-glue it but make sure that it is positioned properly. When super-gluing make sure to hold both pieces pressed to each other for at least 60 seconds.

No Flash & "Speed light is in the close position"

I had the same problem and found a solution at

It worked for me.

There are 3 simple solutions which will not cost you anything. I used the first method for 1+ years till I discovered the 2nd and 3rd method just now, which should solve your problem easily for good (hopefully).
1. After the speedlight pops up, use your hand to touch (depress softly and let go softly) the button that normally locks the speedlight. To find this button/protrusion, look carefully in the region from which the light pops up. You will see a tiny black piece protruding out. This piece matches the cavity on the back of the speedlight. So it should be easy to find. Try pressing the button and then letting it go. If the error message doesn't go away, try pressing it once again and then check the monitor again. This method may take several tries.
2. A simpler solution is to use your hand to slow down the speedlight as it pops up. The goal is to prevent a violent shake when the speedlight unit pops open. So use your hand to let the unit slowly come to open.
3. A more permanent fix is to put something in the camera to cushion the shake as the speedlight pops open. If you look carefully how the speedlight opens, you will see that there is a plastic rod, one end of which is attached to the speedlight and the other end glides along a track/groove as the unit opens. Just put some sticky soft substance at the end of groove where the rod will come to rest when the unit opens. Put such substance there so it will "permanently" cushion the opening. One such substance you can find easily is the type of glue many magazines use to stick ads/CDs,etc. to the pages. As far as I know, you CANNOT get such glue easily in stores, but those used sticky glues in magazines are good enough and you just need a tiny bit. I happened to have bought some such glues recently from
for no other reason than that I have always been fascinated by such glues. You really don't need to buy these because they come in large quantities and you can just use the magazine glues I mentioned. (some call these "peel and stick glue" and some call it "fugitive glue".) Yet another possibility that should work but might not provide as much buffering/cushioning power is to cut a tiny piece of eraser that fits tightly into the end of the groove.
Hope these belated tips help you somehow.
