Someone is logging into my computera and is using my internet connection for their wireless I want to change my web key address so that cannot occur again please tell me how

This is very simple. Go to http://192.168.0.1 and login using "admin" for the username and "motorola" for the password (both without quotation marks). From there you'll see a column of buttons on the left-- click on "wireless". In that new page you'll see a row above the main content with 4 tabs-- click "security". Now you'll see an area that says "security mode". I would recommend using WPA because it is the most secure. You'll choose what you want the password to be in the field that says "Passphrase", and then press "Apply". You'll notice you aren't connected to the internet anymore (if using wifi) because you'll need to reconnect and put the new password in. That should do it, but let me know if you have anymore questions!

Cannot connect to the internet. Have the wireless USB piece and is set up, but will not surf.

  1. Test your internet connection by directly connecting your modem into your computer.Bypassing the router. If it doesn't connect to internet then your router isn't the culprit.Contact your internet service provider for your area.If it does not connect then follow below step.
  2. Reconnect your router to the computer.Turn on your computer and find program associated with router.Select "options" select security options and select security mode and turn your router off.Attempt an internet connection. If it does not connect to the internet then your router might have broken and tell it to a company. If it does connect then your computer may have experienced a security breech that router does not allow it.
  3. Run a virus scan or malware scan for your computer.

I am trying to play pokemon black with dream world but it said the acess point's security settings are not supported by Nintendo DS what do I do

Most of the time this error means that the network that you are connecting to is secured using WPA encryption. The Nintendo DS is not compatible with this type of security which is why you aren't able to connect.

There are two solutions to fix this. Either change your network security from WPA to WEP encryption (That is my recomendation) or to just disable your network security completely.(not Recomended) In order to change the security settings you would have to log on to your router from your desktop computer and change the settings from there.

For instruction on how to change your Routers security setting check your Routers users manual.

Can not connect to internet thorough my dlink 614 router It tells me the internet security key is incorrect even though i know it is not

Hi,

Please access the web interface of the router and confirm the security key. Also, you can try to change the security key. It can be a possibility that your computer is not synchronizing properly with the current security settings.

If you find that you are putting the right security key then please change the security type to wep 64 bit or wep 128 bit and configure a new key. Also, change the SSID or the network name and try to connect.

In case of any issues please let me know which windows you are running and the security settings on the router.

Thanks,

Rashish

Security of wireless network

You can directly connect your computer to the router thorugh the routers "internet" port and then re-run setup. OR you can type the IP address of the router into your address bar (the default is tipically 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and then enter the router username and password (I believe the Belkin default is username:"Admin" password:"Password") in the admin control planel look for a "wireless security" tab. You can then define your wirelss security settings there. Just remember to configre the same settings on all devices that will connect to the router.
