Yes, you can. This is a fairly simple repair that anyone can do with a little guidance. The following link explains step-by-step how to install a door bellow on a Kenmore Elite front loader:

NOTE: There is another method you may try as well. Although I do not prefer this next method because these washing machines are very heavy, an alternative way of replacing the door bellow is to remove the lower toe panel and tilt the washer back at a 45 degree angle instead of removing the washer front panel. If you use this method, make sure it rests against the wall and will not tip forward. This allows the wash tub to drop down and away from the front panel and gives you access to the the rear bellow clamp through the bottom. This can save you some time. I found the small tear and patched it with a rubber patch much like a tire tube

If the "panel beater" had to replace the boot seal, his contention may be correct. The new seal requires time to adjust. You can try tweaking the latch position but you risk a leaky seal.

Air whistling into vehicle through brake rubber boot/seal

You should be able to replace the boot. Without seeing the vehicle, you should be able to disconnect the shaft going through the firewall and get the boot off/on that way.

Is the seal damaged - if so replace it as this is the best solution, if not see below -

This is a common problem caused by the rubber seal. Remove the seal and then put a small bead of silicon rubber sealant all the way around the metal lip it fits on - then replace the seal. Next when the sealant has set, clean the boot lid where the seal makes contact and also the seal itself with a silicon spray polish (Mr Sheen) this should cure the problem if the water is entering via this seal. Also make sure that the gully around the boot lid is clean. If this cures the problem, every few weeks clean and treat the seal and lid with silicon spray.

Dealer ''replaced'' right front axle seal and now inner boot ripped.. how is the seal replaced and did they have to remove the boot? 4WD

no,complete axle is removed,then seal is replaced, the boot just gets worn and breaks, good luck.

Trying to find out if I need to replace my rack and pinion or if I can replace the seal, or if I can repair the vehicle myself. Took the boot off the rack and didn't see a seal there(or at least don't...

its not as simple as you think !
there are technical issues within the rack that only a specialist can deal with! [internal valves & lock length etc etc]
if you tried you would end up burning the car with frustration!! BELEIVE ME!!
just get another rack new or a good used one & bolt it in! saves on heart attacks lol

Seal maybe damaged on bottom roof seal and letting in water to the boot on the offside of car

The lower roof seal penetrates to the cabin rather than the boot (regardless of whether you have a soft or hard cover on)
If you're getting water into the passenger side of the boot, it's most like the boot lid seals are perished - inspect these carefully and replace them if required.

How do i replace the front caliper seal on 06 malibu maxx??????

while the seals in the calipers are replaceable, its probably easier just to get a new/re manufactured caliper. if for any reason the seals don't work perfectly you could lose control of the vehicle when attempting to stop. with that said i'll try to explain the best i can how to replace the seals in the calipers for that vehicle.

1. jack up the front of the vehicle, place on jackstands and remove the front wheels, make sure the parking brake is on
2. unbolt the caliper and unbolt the brake line from the caliper and take caliper to a clean bench
3. remove the dust boot retaining ring on the caliper that holds the boot to the caliper itself
4. using a blowgun with a rubber tip apply low pressure compressed air where the brake line was bolted to the caliper to push the piston out of the bore (be carefull and ready because the piston may shoot out with some force)
5. when the piston comes out you will need to replace the dust boot and the seal so remove the boot and seal carefully so you don't scratch the piston ( the seal is actually in the caliper piston bore hole)and throw out the old seal and boot.
6. inspect all the surfaces and make sure there are no imperfections at all on the piston, the piston bore, or the caliper, if the surfaces are marred in anyway, replace the caliper, if they are good, using brake cleen and compressed air clean all parts then dry them
7. get the new seal and lubricate with DOT 3 brake fluid
8. install new seal into the caliper bore
9. apply a thin coat of DOT 3 brake fluid to the piston itself
10. install bottom half the the caliper piston into the caliper bore.
11. install new dust boot seal onto the piston
12. compress the piston to the bottom of the caliper bore
13. fully seat the dust boot seal into the caliper and install retaining ring
14. reinstall on vehicle (make sure to use a NEW copper washer on the brake line to caliper fitting) and bleed the braking system while checking for leaks.

repeat process for the other side.

if the caliper leaks at all from the piston after seal replacement, replace the caliper.

make sure you properly bleed the brakes before attempting to drive your car.

Door Seal

not too bad a job
turn off mains. undo clamp that holds door boot to cabinet and peel off the boot.
the seal is then held onto the tub either by a large circular spring or maybe a clamp with a screw.
if it is a spring, then just force the boot downwards and pull outwards and the boot will come off.
if it is a clamp, undo the clamp and pull the boot off.
look at the new boot and you will see a groove that slips onto the lip of the tub. lubricate this groove liberally with washing up fluid or similiar.
start at the top and push the groove onto the lip. work in both directions round the boot forcing the groove onto the lip until entirely in position.
if a clamp was fitted, just put the clamp in the outer groove and tighten
if it is a spring, this is more difficult and you will find an extra pair of hands helpfull. stretch the spring and push into position in the outer groove.
fit the boot to the cabinet and replace the clamp
test for leaks on rinse cycle as water level is higher. there will be some foam from the washing up fluid.
remember to make a note of which way up the door boot was fitted as there is a top and bottom
