My ipod touch [4th generation] screen is stuck on the usb cord pointing toward the itunes logo

The solution is: 1. Turn of your iPod. 2. While holding down the 'Home' button, connect to iTunes WARNING: Doing this will return your iPod back to original 'out of the box' settings and you will lose everything. On the bright side, you get a 'fresh' start and it will auto update to the most recent software version.

Ipod touch turns on but it doesnt give me option to type in code

Hi there,

I would recommend checking for updates for the software on your Ipod touch as if the software on the Ipod is out of date, features may begin to stop working.

To complete this you can connect your Ipod to your Mac or PC and follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes. It will automatically offer you to install new updates to software.

I have a kenwood DNX7360BT audio in my car with a usb port i cant play any thing on that coz it keeps telling me ''reading'' without verifying data on flash drive

Try to touch the disconnect then reconnect. That seems to solve my endless reading problem with iPod for sure. I think I might have had problem with USB as well and resolved the same way.

I forgot the password to my ipod touch

There is only one way, you must restore the ipod which wipes out everything if you forgot it.

Updating and Restoring iPod touch Software
You can use iTunes to update or reinstall iPod touch software, restore default settings, and delete all data on iPod touch.
• If you update, the iPod touch software is updated. Your downloaded applications, settings, and data aren’t affected.
Note: In some cases, an update may also include restoring iPod touch.
• If you restore, the latest version of iPod touch software is reinstalled, settings are restored to their defaults, and data stored on iPod touch is deleted, including downloaded applications, songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. If you’ve backed up iPod touch with iTunes on your computer, you can restore data from the backup at the end of the restore process.
Deleted data is no longer accessible via the iPod touch user interface, but isn’t erased from your iPod touch. For information about erasing all content and settings, see “Resetting iPod touch” on page 122.
Update or restore iPod touch:
1 Make sure you have an Internet connection and have installed the latest version of iTunes from
2 Connect iPod touch to your computer.
3 Select iPod touch in the iTunes sidebar and click the Summary tab.
4 Click “Check for Update.” iTunes tells you if there’s a newer version of the iPod touch software available.
5 Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.

I reformatted my ipod at itunes insistance... but--

it sounds as though the software update is corrupted and you will either need to find it by going into your local profile ( c:\documents and settings\your_username\ )

and it will be under local settings or somewhere like that ( you will need to go to tools --> folder options --> view tab -->

stop it from hiding hidden files so you can view all the folders etc.

Give me an hour or so and I will see if I can find a more specific location so as to help you.

You will need to delete the correct file.

Short of that you can temporarily rename the folder name of your username under documents and settings so that it re creates your profile and try that.
