Question about Acer Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have the omnitech 8.5 digital picture frame and cannot download the Optipix Pro software that is supposed to be in the internal memory of the frame. Even without that, I cannot transfer my photos from my computer to the frame. The manual tells me I can drag the photos to the G drive, but when I try I get a message that says 'cannot copy IM00045. Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name.' I use HP Image Zone to hold the photos on my computer. I know that they are Jpeg format so i don't understand what is wrong. Can you help? Jeannine

SOURCE: Error Messages.

Hi, did you try downloading your videos through the included software? It should work best using the included PowerCinema NE for Everio. If you are using windows Vista, then you need to download a patch. Here is the link: http://www2.cli.co.jp/products/ne/update_everioM7SD/pcm4e_update.htm
Make sure you have PowerCinema NE for Everio installed before applying the patch. After this, follow a few simple steps. Turn off your camcorder. Connect the USB cable to the computer then to the camcorder. Then, turn it on. The software should load automatically, and using that you should be able to download the files. You might need administrator rights for this.

Hope this helps,
Eric

SOURCE: Digital Photo Keychain

My copy of Photo Viewer came on the provided disk. Run set up to load it (if you do not have a disk go to the key ring manufacturers website). When you use Photo Viewer make sure that your key ring is attached to a USB port prior to starting the programme otherwise it will not load.

SOURCE: not able to format my pendrive

Make sure you are attaching your pen drive into an USB 2.0 port (also called "high speed USB port"). It must be formatted to FAT32, if it still fails you might try the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. If you are using Windows 98 then you need special driver for your pen drive.

RE: omnitech 8.5 digital picture frame. smartparts tells me to connect usb cable but it already is connected. tried reloading software, same problem.I am trying to copy photos to the picture frame.

I had same problem today, my software on the PC was version 3.03, I upgraded to 4.1, it seems to work better now.

These frames are a little flaky, sometimes I have to power it off, and on, for it to be recognized.

Cant copy any pictures from computer

You can start copying pictures to SV811 digital picture frame if you get the message “Use PC interface to copy files.” Here are the steps:
Copy pictures, videos, and music between your frame and computer, using your computer's normal file copying tools:

1. Connect the USB cable from the frame to your computer
2. On your computer, open My Computer or Windows Explorer.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

3. Navigate to the pictures you want to copy. Then drag and drop them to the new location.
4. Unplug the USB cable to view your copied pictures.

Copying pictures from EasyShare software:

1. Install EasyShare software (free download at www.kodak.com/go/sw )
2. Connect the USB cable.
3. On your computer, open EasyShare software. Select the pictures in My Collection and drag them into the Picture tray.
4. In the menu bar, select File and then Copy to the Kodak Drive letter.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

5. Select the frame source to which you are copying.
6. Select Best for Digital Picture Frame to reduce the resolution of the pictures you are copying. Full resolution is unnecessary and quickly fills up the frame's memory.
7. Click Copy. Pictures are copied to your frame.
8. Unplug the USB cable and press “Home” icon to navigate to your copied pictures.

No USB Port on SP70BRS Digital Picture Frame

Put a memory card into a card read/writer and, once you've edited your pictures, place them on the card insert that in the frame and either use them from the card, or transfer them into the onboard memory.

To remove a picture, connect the frame to your PC via USB. you should see the frame appear as a drive, in my case,
36972 (E:)

open the drive as Explore, you can now see the pictures, and delete what you no longer want.

you can download the software from
