Question about Averatec 3200 Notebook

1 Answer

Display Problems Periodically when I turn on my Averatec, even though Windows is booting, the screen appears all white with no display. It takes anywhere from a few immediate tries to a few hours before I can turn it on and get the display. There may be a loose video connection but I don't know how to check for it.

That's what I do, but it often takes several attempts at cold booting and sometimes several hours of keeping it off before it will work.

Hi NuvoTechie,

Try this. Do a restart, and see if that error occurs. Then try shutting fully down, hold the power button in for 10 sec, and see if it works OK from a cold boot. Don't have a solution, but I have to do the same on my Averatec, and thier suppor is no help.

Check the resolution of the screen by right clicking on an empty part of the screen and choosing properties. Go to settings and make the resolution 1078 x 768 and hit apply and ok. There are instances when the resolution will change from a software update etc. that is not supported by the monitor or graphics card.

Screen issue

Boot to Safe-Mode by pressing the "F8" key several times when you first see the windows logo screen. Answer "yes" to enter safe mode. "Right click" on "My Computer", select "Manage", then "Device Manager". Expand "Display Adapter" by clicking on the "+ sign" on the left side of Display Adapters. Highlight the Adapter listed under the Display Adapter line by "left clicking" on it. Then press the "right mouse button" and select "uninstall" to uninstall the display adapter. Now reboot you system (not safe mode) and see if it works. The display text may be very large now. If it works, you need to find your drivers cd that came with the computer and install the video driver using the above procedure but selecting "update driver" instead of "uninstall"

Black and white lines after bios screen before boot up

The issue appears to be cosmetic if the system boots to WIndows and there are no display issues using the system. Some systems I've seen have a bit of video distortion between the BIOS splash screen and the desktop. A couple things may change that. Update the system BIOS and the video driver to the most current available

I have some problems with the display on laptop averatec 3200 the computer is working fine, but i cant see anything on the display. the display is compleately white wen i turn on the laptop.

Problems are possibly due to wires running through the hinges on the laptop which may cause a connection problem/short. Your right. Over time the hinges which house the wires from your screen to your motherboard can wear out causing the monitor wires to have shorts. You may need to contact a professional to replace the screen or to rewire the set.

PC screen display breaks up

If parts (motherboard) were replaced under warranty, there still could be other issues related to the first issue. For example, it could be a loose cable from the new motherboard to your screen or other issues.

For example, in Control Panel, try turning off any screen savers or power management or saving features.

Have you ran a Dell diagnostic and if so, what does it say?
Here's how:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. As the computer boots, press < F12 > when the Dell Splash Screen appears
  3. When the Boot menu appears, highlight the Boot to Utility Partition option, or the Diagnostics option and then press < Enter > to start the 32-bit Dell Diagnostics.

Problems with my motorola v3x

if the display on your screen is only half of it, it means that the theme installed in your fone is not for motorola v3x.
with regards to the backlight, the connector from the lcd to the board is loose.
if you can only see the white light, it means that your fone is running an application, loading or hanging up like what's happening in pc's.

i think you need to master reset your phone and put only a 256memory card. even though it is said to carry up more, just stick with the 256 memory to avoid those problems.

I don`t have any picture on screen when i start my laptop. Is there only white screen, bud i`am listen from speakers windows is booted normaly...

try to boot in safe mode.
  1. Press F8 again and again while making switch on you lap till you get the boot option screen
  2. Then select Safe mode

  • If your windows starts and you can see on the screen, that means your display driver is missing, install driver for VGA and reboot in normal mode.
  • If even in safe mode you can't see any pic on the screen it means there is some problem in your display LCD and its time to take a tour to service centre

Thanks
Iqbal

PC or monitor, signal problems

your monitor is telling you it's on it's last legs..either that or your compaq has a bad video section. either is more vital than a video cable being loose.
