the car is equiped with an amplifier. there is a black wire that you didn't connect. just connect it to the blue with white wire from your radio and it should work.

To switch from front to rear speakers you need to look for FADER option. It would be under main SOUND menu. That will of course work if you got rear speakers hooked up.

SOURCE: Installing KD-HDR20 and I get a red power light but nothing works

I have had the same issue and I tried until I found the problem.
1) I had no power to my remote wire.
(The wire that only allows the radio to work when the care ignition is on.)
2) The radio has a fuse or maybe two.
But the auto mobile may have blown its fuse.
In my case it was the remote fuse.
3) I have had a bad ground and only need to find a good place.
4) I have even found insufficient power to my radio because too many devices were also using that power.
5) Heck I have even forgot to start the care or at least turn the ignition.
6) My battery was so dead it couldnt even power my radio.

I have a jvc kd s19 that i just installed on my jetta and the face plate does not turn on and I don't know what it might be. The fuses are good and wires are good also any help?

hi angel, try resetting the unit to see if any change will take place. also recheck the wiring esp the yellow, red and black wires from the unit. make sure that all the face switches have a "click" feel when pressing on them. lastly make sure that the communicating pins are clean on both sides. cheers.

I tried to wire a jvc kd-r320 in a 1996 jeep grand cherokee, hook it up and i got no lights or sound, when i turned on the jeep lights a loud buzzing sound came over the speakers?

You have the live connected to a speaker, recheck the wiring diagram. Red is the acc power, Black Neutral usually and yellow is direct power from battery. Wire just these and check if you have power and then do the speakers after you have that much working.

I hooked up my JVC KD-R200 to a 1991 Toyota Tercel and I can't get the face of the stereo to turn on. No sound, no radio stations, just the lights around and on the buttons come on. I have another stereo...

try reversing your red (accessory) and yellow (constant) wire... also check the fuse on the back of the radio. and it wouldn't hurt to clean the connector between the faceplate and the radio either corrosion can cause this....

Jvc kd-s590, installing in other car and only the att (red) light comes on no display or sound. tried resetting, fuse is good. that's it.

sounds like only the constant(yellow) wire has power. you need to make sure that the switched wire(red) has power as well. good way to trouble shoot, is to hook the red to the yellow to see if it powers up then, if so you know the radio is ok, you just need to find a better power source for the red wire. hope this helps.

JVC KD-R200 won't power up for more than 5 seconds

Check your wires they might be touching steel around your car mostly look at your yellow and red wires those are the 1' that give it power and light to your radio also check your radio fuse in the back.
