Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

I have lost the @ on my Dell computer. I can copy and paste it but the @-button doesn't echo anything. How can I get i back? /Ingela

The problem is not that your Dell lost the @, it is that your keyboard is not sending the data that represents that character to your computer. You need a new keyboard.

Lost cd for setup for DI-514 Ver B1

No need for the setup cd, you can manually configure the router. Just connect one computer directly to the router and check the gateway number that your are getting when you do this on a ci\omputer that is using windows.

Click on start select run
type cmd click ok
on the command prompt window type ipconfig/all then hit enter
get the gateway number the open an IE
on the address bar type in http://gateway number.
will prompt for the username and password of the router usually admin on both
this will help you to begin with.

Lost internet connection?toasted router?

You will need to create your PPPOE internet connection on the router using your ISP username and password, access the router by opening internet explorer and type in the ip address of the router (example) > http://192.168.2.1 the router logon window will appear, use the username " leave blank" and the password "admin" -or- username "admin" with password 1234. Go into internet connections Select PPPOE connection enter your ISP username and password. restart the router and computer this should establish your internet connection. BPCS

Connecting 2 computer thru DI-514

Well I believe wat ya need to do is simply obtain a NEW "Account" with NEW Logon & Password with a NEW Internet Service Provider. Then you set up the modem to connect to the new ISP, at the NEW ISP's address, with the NEW Password & Logon. When you got the modem ya should have got a "Setup" CD that should walk ya thru the connection routine... Below is a link for a "Users Manual" that should help you get connected. ftp://ftp.dlink.de/di/di-514/documentation/DI-514_qig_en_Quick-Install.pdf
