Keypad doesn't work

How do you replace the keypad? I have another V3 I can swap the keypad.

Take it to a professional mobile repair store and have them change it for you.

Self Help

  • First take the back off and remove the battery
  • unscrew the two back screws off the mainboard
  • now remove the back carefully.
  • once the mainboard cover has been remove you should see four more screws to the bottom, remove those as well.
  • take the white seal off that has the imei number on it.
  • now the keypad has about seven silver clips holding it in place...carefully remove them with a flat bit screw driver.
  • once that is done just pust the silver prongs up from the base .
  • and this how you remove and replace the keypad.
be warn that if you do this and damaged the cable you can only blame yourself......

Hey, I have a motorola Razr v3 and the all the buttons except the on/off button stopped working. Any idea on what to do?

keypad has certain flex connector.might getting stuck or the keypad membrane is dirty.

otherwise it needs a replacement

It won't dial

Check phone liquid ingress keypad connector to main board,swap another flip,if ok,replace keypad or display.

My v3 keypad- except for the on/off is unresponsive

Check,connectors keypad to main board,could be corrosion or check" on and off" button could be dirty,if not try to swap another flip,if not replace Gcap3 Ic near the battery contact.good luck to you

Phone start dialing when you open,this is a razor go phone with a real sim

Your phone keypad liquid ingressed or flex connectors to main board liquid ingressed check and clean up,try to swap another flip,if ok,that keypad faulty.replace it,if not check 2 IC small, near the connectors keypad could be corrosed clean them,hope to solve your problem.

My keypad all of the sudden stoped working besides a few keys

Sounds like the keypad is worn out google for repair shops in your area, here in ATL I can have the entire housing keypad and all replace for around $20

Keypad acting up!

SURGICAL - you need to replaced the mobile flexcable in the phone also have the repair center flash the keypad flexfile back into the phone.

BRENNA - replaced the flexcable

VGETSON - you need to flash a file call keypad flex into the phone to correct the keypad freezing up on you.

your phone problem is the keypad flex of your phone'
you can fix it by replacing the keypad flex'
motorola dealer has the keypad flex'
ask for a skilled cellular technician to re-place your keypad fle..
