Question about Televison & Video
It can be the light bulb /lamp that is faulty.it needs to be checked.but if the lamp glows properly then
--- According to the Sony blinking diagnostic suggestion, a continuous blink is a failure around the "jungle chip". This is Sony's big controller chip that has most of the brains. It is not easy to trouble shoot and it is not inexpensive to repair. Could run as much as $250 plus the house call.
Try this for service mode entry:
After you get to the item that needs adjusting
Write down the original setting
just in case you have to go back.
1. TV in the off mode
2. With remote press 'Display' then '5' then 'Vol up' then 'Power' all within 5 seconds.
You are now in the Adjustment mode
But if the jungle chip is defective it may be the reason why the service mode platform is not working!
In the worst case you have a very expensive repair on your hands. IN the best case it will be a 10 cent resistor that needs replacing. But you will have to bring in a tech to do the testing on it for a dead certain diagnosis of the problem.
you can get the required board and components at ----- www.partstore.com -------- or from ------ www.radioshack.com ----
if you are not familiar with doing this you can get it done by local tv repair technician familiar with this model tv.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

I assume it is Sony DLP TV that has Lamp inside to provide light, green light continually blinks shows that lamp got weaker and need to be replaced.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and owner can replace it, procedure is also written in TV Owner Manual.
I would recommend to buy Sony original lamp for TV safety.
Let me know model number that would be written at back of TV, if you need further help/ info.
