Depending on the model and make on the grinder you just have to turn the adjustment collar clockwise for finer, that is the case with most grinders.

I have turned the grind knob all the way down, below 1.

Sounds like there is not enough coffee to make a solid puck. If you get crema, grind coarseness sounds ok. A finer grind will produce less coffee grounds for the puck and increases chance of clogging.
You may have to balance grind size with amount of crema to get solid puck.
Big problem with these is you want dark roast for espresso, but oil on beans clogs grinder. Are you using a dark roast? A medium roast works better in these. Or, can you increase the grind time? My Super-auto had a program option to increase time. But not in reg instructions. Got it from authorized repair facility.

Hardly any crema is it my coffee italian bean or can i fix this by adjusting the machine?

Try adjusting the grind finer, if that does not work, try another coffee and if you get the same result then the burrs on the grinder need to be replaced.

The coffee comes out in little logs or clumps. The coffee is weak- no crema.

HI
There are 2 things that can cause this. Either the burrs are bad and need replacing or you grinder is out of adjustment and you need to turn to a finer grind. If you have taken it apart, you are not adjusted close enough so your burrs can't grind fine enough. Readjust the burrs closer together.

Extremely course grind

Remove bean hopper, clear chamber of all beans, either by grinding or using a vac cleaner, then turn adjustment collar finer until it cannot move, then back it up about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. That should give you a good starting point on your grind.

Try adjusting the grind on the grinder to a finer setting, and make sure that the machine ins producing about 9 bars of pressure on the water pump(check bottom gauge on manometer).
