Constant green blinking timer light

I have a mitsubishi 52525 DLP TV that is about 1.5 years old. The TV now has a flashing green timer light that flashes constantly. Is there a simple fix to this or do I need to call a service company?

the circut that detects the bulb has been also failing in these sets
and the conversion chip that controls the picture , and the transformers are not putting out the full power they are supposed to.
this set will need to be tested to determine the exact cause or causes

MY tv has a blinking green Light under the timer indicator

The DM is not completeing the boot sequence due to failed capacitors on the DM power Board. Very common problem with that model DLP. You can get the V26 DLP DM repair kit at the following link which has the replacement capacitors and step by step detailed instructions on how to do the repir. Its listed under the repair kit category.

The 52525 is definitely going to either:

1. have the caps on the FMT/DM board replaced (not something I'd recommend you do yourself)

2. have the electrical chassis rebuilt (as sometimes, you can replace the caps and still have the problem).

wait time: 4-8 weeks
cost to rebuild: $400-$500
cost for labor: $200-$400

the dlp will most likely need a qualified mits repair center to take over for you. repairing that set is pretty involved. and the parts you would need are not available to the public.
on your 48" CRT projection check the DM module for 4 vented 1000mf 16v capacitors. replacement should get you tv working great
