Ultimate II is refusing to go into agtation/wash cycle

Whirpool Ultimate II will not agitate. By moving the dial forward I found that it will drain and spin fast. It will aso keep filling with water until I move the switch manually into the agitate/wash cycle. Happy New year!!!

It sounds like a bad timer unit, and possibly a lid switch.

As far as the water overfilling, that may be an unrelated problem, such as the water level switch... but most likely the timer.

I have the same model, and it wouldn't drain.. and it would try to spin when full of water... an interesting sight to see!

Either your timing motor has broken or the gears that it drives are stripped. The timing motor is easy to replace but if the gears are stripped you will need a whole new dial assembly.

Won't drain or spin...just holds the water and will agitate if the dial is moved back. Any ideas?

A blockage in the drain hose if you are lucky. If you cannot hear the motor running on drain/spin but it's o.k. on wash it's likely to be the timer.

Whirpool lsq9244eqo fills and drains but does not spin or agitate

It sounds like the agitator gripping teeth are worn out. To check this, take the agitator cap off with a strong knife or flat-head screw driver, pull the cap off and check the plastice teeth and four plastic hooks that grab the teeth. If they are worn out, then you will have to replace the agitator. To replace it, you will see a nut that is between the circlular teeth. Unscrew the nut and pull the agitator up hard.

Washer will not agitate on wash cycle

could be a belt (doubtful) or it could be the connector underneath the. if the bolt isn't tight, it could be sliding along the cutout that makes the agitator work. tip forward and check it from beneath/backside whicheverr has the easiest access to view the connections.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II keeps taking water.

ck your drain nose/drainline, chances are you have along hose, perhaps even draining along the floor behind hte unit, into a "closed" drain system. in which cawee the wwater is syphoning out during the rinse cycle, youlll needt o raise the drain hose to above 48" and have it drain into a stand pipe to prevent siphoning effect
