I have a nokia n95 and i use it as a usb modem for my p.c to access the web. my network provider is t-mobile. when installing the device it is registered on my system as a nokia n95 'gsm' modem yet the nokia n95 is said to have hsdpa technology allowing faster access as long as i am in a 3g area.could you tell me why this is? or maybe where i may have misunderstood part of the initial interpretation of the nokia n95, making me think that i should be getting more than i actually can from the phone?....also, as a usb modem, when it is connected the maximum speed i can recieve is 921.6 k/bs when i have altered my settings on my p.c (operating system windows xp sp2)...how can i recieve faster connection speeds, if possible? t-mobile reckon they can offer speeds TWICE as fast as im getting (upto 1.8 m/bs) but i dont see how this is possible when a usb modem can only be set to the speed that i am recieving now when maxed out. thanks for at least listening to my problem whether you can help me or not and thanks in advance for any advice you can offer me. micky cleary, durham city, england

You need to call your carrier to check your connection. You can also reset your phone by taking the battery out and wait about a minute and see if that refreshes your setting. Also, go to setting and see if your Wifi is turned on and scan your network. Hope this helps, if not just go back where you bought the phone and they will help you restore your phone. Good luck
Two methods are there to use your phone as modem 1)you can use your PC suit to use your phone as modem for You need
*USB cable or Bluetooth on your mobile
*PC suit software provide by phone manufacturer(ex:Nokia,Samsung,LG,Sony Ericsson).

Hello there, to connect your Nokia N95 to your PC simply go to google.com and search for Nokia Ovi Suite, download it from there and install on your PC. After doing this connect your phone to the laptop using your usb cord and you can access the functions of your phone on the PC. Hope this solution has been helpful?

My Nokia 7210 Supernova handset can not access internet, though it is working on P.C. as a modem. When I try to open webpage in mobile, it reflects a message "Subscribe packet data first" and "Link not available". Sometimes it says "Connection not available". Tough all settings are installed properly. My service provider is BSNL, UP East Circle (Faizabad district). Please suggest me the solution for this problem so that I can access net from mobile too. -RP Shukla Faizabad
