How to reset Toshiba Studio 256se Total Counter?

Clearing counter
The counter indicating "current number of prints and driving time" used for the PM display function is
reset by entering "0" in it or clearing it in the PM support mode.
Even if "0" is entered in the PM management setting value of the setting mode (08), the
corresponding counter for the PM display is not reset. Be sure to clear the counter in the PM
support mode when the maintenance is finished.
The reset condition of each counter is as follows:
• 08-6194: Current value of PM counter [process unit (K)]
• 08-6195: Current value of PM time counter [process unit (K)]
When the current value of "CLEANER/DRUM" on the main screen or "DRUM" on the sub-screen in
the PM support mode is cleared, the counter is reset.
• 08-5568: Current value of PM time counter [developer material (K)]
• 08-5569: Current value of PM time counter [developer material (K)]
When the current value of "DEVELOPER" on the main screen or "DEVELOPER" on the sub-screen
in the PM support mode is cleared, the counter is reset.
• 08-5576: Current value of PM counter [parts other than the PM parts of the process unit]
• 08-5577: Current value of PM time counter [parts other than the PM parts of the process unit]
• 08-6225: Number of output pages (Thick paper 1)
• 08-6226: Number of output pages (Thick paper 2)
• 08-6227: Number of output pages (Thick paper 3)
• 08-6228: Number of output pages (OHP film)
• 08-6244: Counter for tab paper
• 08-6247: Counter for envelope
When the current value of "FUSER" on the main screen or "FUSER ROLLER" on the sub screen in
the PM support mode is cleared, the counter is reset.
The following counters are cleared by executing the EPU replacement mode.
08-6194: Current value of PM counter [process unit (K)]
08-6195: Current value of PM time counter [process unit (K)]
08-5568: Current value of PM counter [developer material (K)]

Toshiba e-studio 230 call for service

Call a Service tech
Have him reset yor Counter AFTER he over checks your copier and inspects the Drum,.Transer Unit, and Fuser Unit chances are the previous tech may not have reset the counter
but call for Service to verify those parts are good first ok. I would not want a counter reset to occur if a fuser unit is bad or something. At that low copies it maybe time for corona's to be replaced.

E030 (The total copy counter fails to operate.)
1)Turn OFF the power, and remove

J104B from the DC controller
PCB. Set the tester range to
x1KW, and measure the
resistance between J104B-2 and
J104B-1. Is it about 500W? NO
Check the wiring from
the DC controller PCB to
the total copy counter; if
normal, replace the total
copy counter.

2)Connect J104B to the DC
controller PCB, and turn ON the
power. Set the tester range to 30
VDC. Does the voltage between
104B-2 (+) and J104A-6 (–) on the
DC controller change from about
24 to about 0 and then to about
24 V when the Copy Start key is
pressed? YES =replace the totalcopy counter.
NO =Replace the DCcontroller PCB

I have a wrench code on my EStudio28 & machine went down-for days it has said periodic maintenance, can this be reset

Periodic Maintenance will appear if the PM counter setting is reach.
Normally, it wouldn't affect your machine, just that the message will shown at panel.

U can enter setting mode 08-252 to, set "0" to clear the counter, or 08-251, set "0" to disable the PM counter.

If your machine having problem, totally cannot run, u can enter 08-253 to display the last 8 error codes.

Afficio 250 SC900...copier will not operate

Is the SC just 900 or is it SC900-01? If it is 900 then it is a total counter error stating that the machine exceeded 9,999,999 copies. If the machine does not have this many copies then the NVRAM is defective. If the SC is 900-01 then the total counter is not working properly. Causes could be .... the mechanical total counter defective, mechanical total counter disconnected, or a poor connection at the total counter. Hope that it is the latter of the 2 codes.

First enter into tech mode by pressing clear stop/exposure contol«/clear stop/exposure control» . Select the service mode function using the copy quantity and the zoom key and then press the start key.(The functions are shown in the order of d,c,A,and F.)
Now code c2 is(0) change to(1) press start.
Also to reset the counters, go code c6 and change it from (0) to (5) and all counters will be reset as soon as the machine is switched off and then on again.

Thoshiba E studio giving the Total Counter 220320 number and display call for service. You are requested to advise.

The machine needs a PM which is a preventive maintenance overhaul. Contact a technician in your area or restart the machine holding down the 0 and 8 key and input code 252 and hit 0 and enter, then power down and restart to reset PM counter.

However, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you get a full PM done if you want to avoid future copy quality problems and parts ware-down.
