It's the memory slots. Trust me, I've seen this many times.
Do this.
Take memory out. re-install only 1 piece of known good memory in the slot closest to the rear of the laptop. Now, press on the memory slot itself, as if to push it into the motherboard, while turning the system on. If that doesn't work, try the other slot. I promise, this is the trouble 95% of the time. IF it works get back to me and we'll discuss how to repair it so you won't have to keep pressure on the memory slot.
Good luck

Too bad you locked the rating. I can tell you beyond all doubt, the problem is memory slots, if you've provided all the facts.

But, since it didn't work, want to sell it?

IBM ThinkPad T30 2366 not start without battery

It is NOT Battery or Power Supply it is your laptop itself has gone faulty... You need to troubleshoot the Motherboard, hard Drive etc, to find the exact problem that will allow you laptop to start. A laptop, will go, with just the power supply, and NO battery, if it doesn't either Power Supply is faulty, regardless of lights, OR the laptop's motherboard or hard drive is faulty, you must isolate problem.

It dose not runs the hd only power light

If the power light comes on and nothing else works, it could very well be a motherboard problem.
I would suspect this if the hard drive does not start, the fan does not start, and you get no display.

You have faulty RAM modules. Reseat your RAM modules, to make sure they make proper connection. If this doesn't work take them to your friendly computer shop and ask them to test them for you.

Ibm t30 laptop has no video at start up

Try doing a hard reboot.

Unplug AC and remove battery.
Press and hold POWER for 30 seconds.
Plug in AC.
Turn on.
Upon bootup insert battery.

If this does not work I regret to say the graphics card is busted.

PC will not reboot.

Either something has wiped out your operating system and you need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall it, or your hard drive went Since it worked fine the day before and just did this right away, my guess it that your hard drive went bad. But you can try both options though. Hope this helps.

I bet your hard drive crashed on you. You might have to buy yourself a new hard drive and replace your old one with it. Then format it and install a fresh copy of your Operating System on it. Your error condes here indicate to me that you either got a blue screen or similar. Blue Screens and/or the code that you stated here are usually caused by a software issue, and are rarely hardware issues. But in this case, you may have gotten something bad on your computer, such as a virus or serious spyware, that wiped out your Operating System And caused your hard drive to crash/become corrupt. As I mentioned, try replacing your hard drive. Hope this helps.

Ibm t30

This is not good. It generally indicates that the security chip on the motherboard has malfunctioned. A hard drive failure can also cause this occasionally, but mostly it's the chip. Start by trying a new hard drive, if it works, GREAT, if not then the chip has malfunctioned and locked the system. Your only option is replacing the motherboard.

Trouble booting up! please help

This could be caused by one of several things. One is a loose memory card another is a bad hard drive. My suggestion is that if you can boot into Windows, that you offload whatever you can to removable media. Then, reseat the memory and unplug and replug in the hard drive. If that doesn't make the problem go away, replace hard drive and use the recovery software to reinstall Windows and your other programs.
