Question about IBM ThinkPad T30 2366 Notebook
My IBM T30 will power up but nothing will show up on the screen, the hard drive clicks and hums upon power up, their are no weird noises that dont sound normal to me...i was able by luck to get on it yesterday but when i moved the laptop it froze i had to reboot but i haven't been able to get back on it since, if anyone has any ideas i can use to get on it so i can get the contents of my hard drive on to disk that would be great thanks!!
Bro. my uncle has a software that can retrieve your lost files on your hardrive.. its 100mb i think.. try to search for that then burn it into cd. the software will boot into your p.c in a safe mode.. then u can get your contacts back .. hope it will helps :)

It's the memory slots. Trust me, I've seen this many times.
Take memory out. re-install only 1 piece of known good memory in the slot closest to the rear of the laptop. Now, press on the memory slot itself, as if to push it into the motherboard, while turning the system on. If that doesn't work, try the other slot. I promise, this is the trouble 95% of the time. IF it works get back to me and we'll discuss how to repair it so you won't have to keep pressure on the memory slot.
