Can i attach backup device to my lg HT356SD?

I would say yes, from what the manual says, the LG HT356SD has some Unique Features:

#1 Portable In : Listens to music from your portable device.
(MP3, Notebook, etc)

#2 USB Direct Recording : Records music from CD to your USB device.

Read the manual, on page 26 it will show you how to do it, I found it at under lg, or go directly to the link I provided.

Recording to USB
1. Connect the USB device to the unit.
2. Select a DVD/ CD function by pressing
One track recording - You can record to USB after
playing the file you want.
All tracks recording - You can record to USB after
Program list recording - After showing the
programmed list, you can record it to USB.
3. Start the recording by pressing X REC.
4. To stop recording, press Z STOP.

I want to record an MP3 CD, or a Music CD and be able to hear it with the Surround Speakers, not just Left and Right, for some reason whenever y insert a music CD the only speakers that i hear are the Left...

Press the surround button and change the surround mode to Dolby Prologic Music or Movies.Since there are only 2 channels in your MP3 disc and music cd the systems default setting is stereo.
Use your DSP ( Digital Sound Processing ) function to create 5.1 from 2 channel source.

I have a coby 815-4g mp3 player and when I open up the icon from my computer there are no folders to drag the music files to and it will not let me copy any files to the player.

go into setup/settings menu of your MP3 player and change the USB mode to MSC, then when you plug it into your computer, the folders will appear, its most likely on MTP mode which hides the files.

Having problems recording and playing back tascam dc-02 cf

I'm assuming you are plugging the left and right outputs from the karaoke machine into input A and B of the Tascam to record the stereo output of the Karioke. The Tascam works with mono only (you recreate the stereo mix at mixdown or when bouncing mono tracks together with the panning set). Therefore you should be assigning inputs A and B separately. You could press assign A and then the record button above track 1 and then press assign B and the record button above track 2. Then arm tracks 1 and 2 (by pressing record above each). When you then press play and record together you'll record input A onto track 1 and input B onto track 2.

Hope this helps.

RCA RT2870 USB won't allow playlists or let me skip folders

I have this same system and it looks like the USB playback is lacking this feature, of switching folders. A workaround is to use shuffle play to jump to one of the last songs in the first folder, then turn off shuffle and skip forward a few songs until you get into the next folder....and so on. Not very good, but for this price I was glad to have USB playback.
Some generic MP3 players will work in the USB port, but they play exactly the same as a USB drive. SO no real solution for this.
