First make sure the internal clock is setup correctly observing am/pm. Then try recording something so you can watch the operation to see if it works. Make sure you have a tape you can record on and also make sure the write protect tab has not been removed from the front lower corner of the tape. Good Luck! I hope you now have success!

Press setup to put you back to tv screen. Then press t-Set button on remote. Unit will automatically shut off and there will be an amber symbol on the unit lcd along with the time. You should be able to get into a list of timer recordings by this method:
1 Open “Initial Setup” menu
Press the SETUP button or the TIMER button while the DVD is in
Stop or Play mode.
2 Select “PROG”
Use the ??/?? buttons to highlight “PROG” then press the
ENTER button.
3 Select the recording to be deleted
Use the ?? and ??/?? buttons.
Press the ?? button to move to the next setting.

The squares are the arrow keys! You should be able to delete the settings using these keys or some other key.
Next time you set a timer recording make certain you don't set the weekly setting!

I hAVE 24 in DVD triple combo ^&@$DG TV. I put

You're describing what could be a loose or worn loading belt problem, most of the vcr mechanisms used in these combos use one to load the tape and thread it for it to play or record, that is why you have to keep puhing the tape untill the machine accepts the tape and you have to keep pressing play untill it starts the play function.

Magnavox TV/VCR COMBO

Im thinking that maybe you a have a timer recording set. The whole unit wont function at all if you turn it on via power button (remote or unit). There should be a button at the top of the remote called 'timer set' pressing this will disable that mode and allow complete use of everything. but make sure u press timer set again when powering down, otherwise simply turning off the machine will leave the timer recording disabled.

Can't switch from AV2 to AV1 with Samsung DVD-VR375 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

To be able to select AV1, you have to first go into the setup menu and set the control set top box setting to OFF. I think you go to the menu >> setup >> features >> set top box control >> select OFF. Note that this has the side effect of erasing any previously stored timer settings.

Sylvania SRD4900 DVD/VCR combo problem

Hi I am Temperance MI and I see this mode in my shop often, does any onscreen menu come up when using the remote and
going into menu? If not maybe the remote is bad, common just
a loose battery lead, If you are able to go into menu, and set the
clock, but unable to set timer record, look closely at you recordable tape to make sure on the left bottom from corner the
the recording tab is in place, You can place scotch tape over this hole of existing tab to ensure it will go into record. Finally
if it wont go into record when you try to use OTR, you
make a problem with the record ready switch in the VCR section. Joe . East Electronics, Temperance MI

Can't record a program with videotape

Try setting the clock again paying close attention to AM and PM settings as well as everything else. REC/OTR is for recording "on the spot". Make sure unit is in proper mode with the DVD/VCR button. Customer service number is usually on a sticker on these units.
